MERN Developer

Responsibilities

• Work across both mobile (React Native) and web (React.js) development streams.
• Build and maintain UI component libraries that support both mobile and web platforms.
• Develop POCs and prototypes using Figma-based design systems.
• Ensure responsive, accessible, and scalable design implementations across platforms.
• Collaborate within global distributed teams to support design system governance and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Interactive Design/UI Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of combined experience across React Native & React Web development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SASS/LESS, responsive web design, and component-based architecture.
• Experience building large-scale applications or UI libraries in React or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of performance budgets, accessibility guidelines, and optimized rendering strategies.
• Experience using Figma (Code Connect / Make) for bridging design-to-code workflows.
• Familiarity with Storybook.js, Jest/Vitest, Vite/Webpack bundlers.
• DevOps familiarity (CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver robust and scalable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

• Translate user requirements and wireframes into ecient and responsive front-end components while ensuring high performance and usability.

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js and Express.js, ensuring smooth integration with the front-end components.

• Design and implement data models, schemas, and queries for MongoDB, and manage database interactions effectively.

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

• Perform unit and integration testing of both front-end and back-end components to ensure reliability and quality of the application.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues that arise during development, testing, and deployment phases.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance application performance, security, and maintainability.

• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers when necessary.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.

Design

·       Design a Service Platform that will serve a large scale of users 

·       Prepare design based on requirements and direction provided by product manager

·       Research and consult with SMEs to ensure the design is most suitable to meet the requirements

·       Present and explain design decisions and gain consensus within in the team

·       Propose UI/UX design decisions that align with requirements and expectations

·       Create any support documentation required for future design updates and validation

Develop

·       Document development plan to implement requirements (Senior)

·       Manage development project tasks and schedule (Senior)

·       Establish development lifecycle model to suit the needs of the project (Senior)

·       Build & configure the base platform based on Open Source solution

·       Manage sprint cycle releases and track development progress 

Quality

·       Perform Quality Assurance before releasing new features

·       Conduct Integration testing to ensure platform is stable

·       Track any issues and ensure that defects are resolved in the next release

·       Demonstrate new features at the end of the sprint

·       Report the development progress weekly including any issues identified

Responsibilities:

• Familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from analysis to deployment.
• Comply with coding standards and technical design.
• Believes in a systematic approach to developing the system through clear documentation (flowcharts, layouts, &, etc) of functionality, address every use case through creative solutions.
• Adapts structured coding styles for easy review, testing, and maintainability of the code.
• Integrate the developed functionality and/or component into a fully functional system.
• Ensure unit and integration level verification plan are in place and adheres to a great quality of code at all time.
• Active participate in troubleshooting, debugging and updating current live system.
• Verify user feedback in making system more stable and easy.
• Work closely with the Product manager, designers, and other peer developers.
• Preparing technical training documents for onboarding new engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer or in a relevant role.
• Smart Hands-on coder who can independently architect solutions and mentor team members.
• Solid experience in PHP, Node, Mongo, and MySQL
• Should have good Web service and Web application fundamentals
• Understanding of OOPS concepts, Persistence, Threading.
