Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with proven experience in developing and scaling Education ERP solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js, PHP (Laravel), MySQL, and MongoDB, along with hands-on experience in implementing ERP modules such as HR, Exams, Inventory, Learning Management System (LMS), Admissions, Fee Management, and Finance.Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Education ERP modules.

Work on end-to-end ERP features, including HR, Exam, Inventory, LMS, Admissions, Fees, and Finance.

Build and optimize REST APIs/GraphQL services and ensure seamless integrations.

Optimize system performance, scalability, and security for high-volume ERP usage.

Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for ERP solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong expertise in Node.js and PHP (Laravel, Core PHP).

Proficiency with MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL (database design & optimization).

Frontend knowledge: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS (React/Vue preferred).

Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, third-party integrations (payment gateways, SMS, email).

Hands-on with Git/GitHub, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

6 years of professional development experience, with a minimum of 4 years in ERP systems.

Preferred Experience

Prior work in Education ERP domain.

Deep knowledge of HR, Exam, Inventory, LMS, Admissions, Fees & Finance modules.

Exposure to high-traffic enterprise applications.

Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS. 
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture. 
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible. 
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability. 
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required: 

• At least 2 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds. 
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases. 
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j. 
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs. 
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks. 
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks. 
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications. 
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools. 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. 
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms. 
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences. 
• Experience building a large scale social or location-based app.

• Must possess a fair, clear understanding of fundamentals and concepts of Magento 1/2, PHP.
• Must have strong experience in Magento Extension development.
• Write well-engineered source code that complies with accepted web standards.
• Strong experience of Magento Best Practices, including experience developing custom extensions and extending third party extensions.
• Thorough functional and code level knowledge of all Magento products and all relevant commerce technologies

Required Candidate profile

• Knowledge of PHP CMS/Frameworks including, Laravel, Yii, CakePHP, and Codeigniter.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, Version Control Tools, and developing Web Services.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOPS)
• Ability to manage projects.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Skills required:

1. PHP 7.x, MySQL 5.x

2. Must have experience of 5+ years with core OOP

3. Must have experience in MVC framework Laravel ( Must ) , CakePHP (2/3), CodeIgnitor, deep understanding of MVC architectures etc.

4. jQuery, BootStrap, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, AngularJS.

5. Must have Version Control knowledge of Git (preferred), SVN.

6. Must have experience in REST, SOAP API creation and integration for mobile applications.

7. Must be good in scalable programmng and coding PSR standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Ability to handle work independently.

2. Ability to work with large database, can create database and optimize.

3. Able to communicate easily with iOS and Andriod teams.

4. Can solve technical issues and have strong debugging skill.

5. Ability to build strong architecture and analytical skills.

6. Know SDLC and Agile development methodology.

7. Can use latest collaboration tools like Jira, BitBucket, Confluence.

8. Must have developed on SaaS base web applications and enterprise applications.

9. Must be knowing about current technology trends.

Desired candidates must have 2-7 years experience as NodeJs Developer. If the candidate is not able to relocate to Gurgaon then we can also provide permanent Work from home for this position.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding functional and business requirements and translate them into effective code
• Provide support till deployment of code into production.
• Ownership for ensuring code optimization, problem diagnosis, and on-time delivery
• Implement solutions as per the pre-defined framework /guidelines and adherence to processes
• Finding an optimal solution for the problem statement
• Conduct peer code review.

What candidate should know about:

• Excellent hands-on experience with Node.Js, Express.Js, JavaScript
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Excellent hands-on experience with MongoDB, Mongo aggregation, MySQL
• Ability to build REST services, Authentications, MVC applications
• Excellent Object Oriented Programming skills and ability to write modular, secure, scalable, and maintainable code
• Experience with Elastic Search, Redis.
• Knowledge about AWS components (S3, EC2, Cloudfront, Redis Clusters, etc.)
• Self-learning abilities are required
• Familiarity with upcoming new technologies is a strong plus
