We are looking for motivated IT professionals with at least one year of industry experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, AI, or Cloud technologies, or should be enthusiastic and ready to upskill and shift to new and emerging technologies. This role is primarily remote; however, candidates may be required to visit the office occasionally for meetings or project needs.

About this roleWe are seeking an experienced MongoDB Developer/DBA who will be

responsible for maintaining MongoDB databases while optimizing performance, security, and

the availability of MongoDB clusters. As a key member of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in

ensuring our data infrastructure runs smoothly.

You'll have the following responsibilities

 Maintain and Configure MongoDB Instances - Responsible for build, design, deploy,

maintain, and lead the MongoDB Atlas infrastructure. Keep clear documentation of the

database setup and architecture.

 Ownership of governance, defining and enforcing policies in MongoDB Atlas.Provide

consultancy in drawing the design and infrastructure (MongoDB Atlas) for use case.

 Service and Governance wrap will be in place to restrict over provisioning for server size,

number of clusters per project and scaling through MongoDB Atlas

 Gathering and documenting detailed business requirements applicable to the data

layer.Responsible for designing, configuring and managing MongoDB on Atlas.

 Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality technical solutions on the

MongoDB Atlas platform based on industry best practices to solve business needs.

Resolves technical issues raised by the team and/or customer and manages escalations as

required.

 Migrate data from on-premise MongoDB and RDBMS to MongoDB AtlasCommunicate

and collaborate with other technical resources and customers in providing timely updates

on status of deliverables, shedding light on technical issues, and obtaining buy-in on

creative solutions.

 Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery.

You'll have the following skills & experience

 Should understand the Database concept and develop expertise in designing and

developing NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

 MongoDB query operation, import and export operation in database

 Experience in ETL methodology for performing Data Migration, Extraction,

Transformation, Data Profiling and Loading

 Migrating database by ETL, migrating database by manual process and designing,

development, implementation

 General networking skills, especially in the context of a public cloud (e.g. AWS – VPC,

subnets, routing tables, nat / internet gateways, dns, security groups)

 Experience using Terraform as an IaC tool for setting up infrastructure on AWS

CloudPerforming database backups and recovery

 Competence in at least one of the following languages (in no particular order): Java, C++,

C#, Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Ruby, Perl, Scala, Go

 Excellent communication skills, often being able to compromise but draw out risks and

constraints associated with solutions. Be able to work independently and collaborate with

other teams

 Proficiency in configuring schema and MongoDB data modeling.

 Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

 Comfortable with MongoDB syntax.

 Experience with database security management.

 Performance Optimization - Ensure databases achieve maximum performance and

availability. Design effective indexing strategies.

What You'll Do


You will be part of our data platform & data engineering team. As part of this agile team, you will work in our cloud native environment and perform following activities to support core product development and client specific projects:

• You will develop the core engineering frameworks for an advanced self-service data analytics product.
• You will work with multiple types of data storage technologies such as relational, blobs, key-value stores, document databases and streaming data sources.
• You will work with latest technologies for data federation with MPP (Massive Parallel Processing) capabilities
• Your work will entail backend architecture to enable data modeling, data queries and API development for both back-end and front-end data interfaces.
• You will support client specific data processing needs using SQL and Python/Pyspark
• You will integrate our product with other data products through Django APIs
• You will partner with other team members in understanding the functional / non-functional business requirements, and translate them into software development tasks
• You will follow the software development best practices in ensuring that the code architecture and quality of code written by you is of high standard, as expected from an enterprise software
• You will be a proactive contributor to team and project discussions

Who you are


• Strong education track record - Bachelors or an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent premium institute.
• 2-3 years of experience in data queries, data processing and data modeling
• Excellent ANSI SQL skills to handle complex queries
• Excellent Python and Django programming skills.
• Strong knowledge and experience in modern and distributed data stack components such as the Spark, Hive, Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker etc.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and native cloud technologies for data storage and data processing
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, Blobs, MongoDB etc.
• Familiarity with ML models is highly preferred
• Experience with Big Data processing and performance optimization
• Should know how to write modular, optimized and documented code.
• Should have good knowledge around error handling.
• Experience in version control systems such as GIT
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter, continuous learner.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and code efficient, scalable systems that can accept feedback from multiple hundred thousand employees and generate insights 
• Design efficient and scalable event driven systems to process complex machine learning pipeline
