Senior Product Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for highly motivated Senior Full Stack developer/ Architect that can thrive in a fast-paced agile environment. You will be working closely with product owners, scrum masters, developers to create, enhance and support Java based applications and APIs.

Primary responsibilities include:

Develop programs for Java based backend API services, React / Angular based Front End applications and supporting internal processes

Perform technical design, coding new programs, modify existing programs, perform peer code review and prepare documentation

Provide strategic and technical assistance to management on proposed project reviews by evaluating approaches, alternatives and timelines

Interact with product team, understand business requirements and help design technical solutions

Analyze program performance for load and endurance testing during execution using various programming languages and techniques

Provide technical guidance and coaching to more junior engineers

Responsible for writing unit test, component tests and perform integration tests

Responsible for troubleshooting and debugging application issues

Remediate security risk flaws from static scan, dynamic scan and manual penetration tests

Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline

6+ years hands-on development experience implementing enterprise-class solutions that are portable, robust, scalable and secure

6+ years of experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies in the areas of enterprise-level application development

Exceptional programming skills in Java.

2+ experience in AWS or cloud technologies. AWS certification is nice to have

2+ years experience in Angular or React is nice to have

Exceptional knowledge on Data Structures and Algorithms

Experience with Rest API, Spring Framework, Spring-MVC, Spring-Security

Experience with JavaScript and other fundamental front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, AJAX, etc.)

Hands-on experience in test automation, CI/CD engineering practices to be applied in software development teams.

Hands on experience of IntelliJ IDE, Junit, Ant, Maven, Gradle, Git/BitBucket

Familiarity creating and using Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift

Working knowledge of SQL/no SQL databases

Working knowledge on document based database and / or Graph database is a plus

Demonstrated knowledge of agile development processes, software testing and documentation

Ability to comprehend detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven oral and written communication skills

Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence

Requirements

Acquired strong proven professional programming experience.

- Strong command of Algorithms, Data structures, Design patterns, and Product Architectural Design.

- Good understanding of DevOps, Cloud technologies, CI/CD, Serverless and Docker, preferable AWS

- Proven track record and expert in one of the field - DevOps/Frontend/Backend

- Excellent coding and debugging skills in any language with command on any one programming paradigm, preferred Javascript/Python/Go

- Experience with at least one of the Database systems - RDBMS and NoSQL

- Ability to document requirements and specifications.

- A naturally inquisitive and problem-solving mindset.

- Strong experience in using AGILE or SCRUM techniques to build quality software.

- Advantage: experience in React js, AWS, Nodejs, Golang, Apache Spark, ETL tool, data integration system, certification in AWS, worked in a Product company and involved in making it from scratch, Good communication skills, open-source contributions, proven competitive coding pro

Roles and Responsibilities

Based in Jaipur, you will be working in a collaborative team on cutting edge technologies in a supportive and dynamic environment. Ultimately you are responsible for building the CODI and on-boarding new clients - this involves:

- Developing a good understanding of the solutions which Peak delivers, and how these link to Peak’s overall strategy.

- Making suggestions towards shaping the strategy for a feature and engineering design.

• Developing eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform. Shopify theme development and customization, private apps, Shopify Liquid templating language, Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections etc.), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery & Rest API's)
• Responsible for the development of the website on Shopify as per the design handed off by the UI Designers. Knowledge of Installing & Customizing the new Shopify theme.
• Deliver optimized, fast loading, and super responsive website. Understand the requirements from briefs, do thorough research, and based on previous experiences -propose the most suitable solution platform with an ETA.
• Extending Shopify functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites Creating responsive website designs
• Integrating third-party and platform-supported apps in the sites.
