Javascript Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Lead with 5–7 years of experience in the JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js ecosystem to drive core platform development. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong backend expertise, as well as exposure to mentoring and team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of core platform components including frameworks, APIs, and backend services
• Design and build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js (NestJS preferred)
• Take ownership of system design, architecture, and performance optimization
• Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Drive Agile development (JIRA-based) and ensure smooth sprint execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI, DevOps, Product)
• Conduct code reviews and enforce efficient coding using DSA principles
• Manage version control and collaboration using Git/Bitbucket

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Hands-on experience in Node.js (NestJS preferred)
• Good understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
• Experience with SQL databases
• Strong knowledge of REST services and API development
• Experience with Git (version control)
• Understanding of backend architecture and scalable systems

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Bitbucket
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, Load Balancer)
• Exposure to SAP UI5 or frontend frameworks
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Leadership & Behavioral Skills

• Experience in team handling / mentoring developers
• Strong knowledge of JIRA and Agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Build and ship features end-to-end using the MERN stack
• Use AI tools to speed up development, solve bugs, and learn new patterns
• Collaborate with product and design to turn ideas into UI + backend logic
• Write clean, reusable code with proper structure and Git practices
• Learn best practices in architecture, API design, and performance
• Take feedback, grow fast, and own your work

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 2-3 years of experience with the MERN stack
• Good understanding of JavaScript (or TypeScript), REST APIs, and MongoDB
• Clear logic, curiosity, and the ability to Google smartly
• Eagerness to learn, experiment, and grow with the team
• Comfortable using AI tools to assist in dev

Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to tools like Firebase, Next.js, or Vercel
• Any live projects, GitHub repos, or portfolio sites
• Basic understanding of cloud deployment 

Required Technologies:

o Excellent understanding of Ruby, Ruby on Rails, CSS3

o Able to communicate well with others on technologies bases

o Working knowledge with Rspec is good to have.

o Have previous experience building features in production applications.

o Good Knowledge of SQL

Able to understand frontend JS frameworks

• Hands-on experience in modern web-development using .Net core, C#, Angular2+, Javascript, HTML5, CSS
• Expertise in developing services (SOAP-WCF and REST)
• Expertise in web development frameworks like ASP.NET MVC
• Good knowledge of database concepts and Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, design patterns, concurrency, algorithms, and software design
• Experience working in any of the JavaScript frameworks like Ember.js, AngularJS, or ReactJS is a bonus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor.
• Flair to learn new technologies and thrive in an agile environment.
