Job Overview :

We are looking for a Lead Engineer - Java with a strong background in Java development and hands-on experience with J2EE, Springboot, Kubernetes, Microservices, NoSQL, and SQL. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software solutions and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. role with 7 to 10 years of experience, based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. F5, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III with experience in building highly available and highly scalable services on public cloud like AWS, Azure and GCP. In this role you will help develop networking and security technologies as a service (SaaS) to solve customers’ multi-cloud problem. You will be part of Cloud Orchestration team working on F5 Distributed Cloud platform.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Design and development of highly available and highly scalable services using public cloud and F5 Distributed Cloud services.

• Understand product requirements related to multi-cloud and propose solutions.

• Follow software development lifecycle for feature development i.e., design, develop, test and support the features

• Creating prototypes to validate use cases and get feedback from product team and architects.

• Work cohesively with geographically distributed team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience in designing and implementing solutions for services in public cloud

• Experience in developing software in a SaaS environment

• Extensive hands-on experience in using Infrastructure as code (IsC) tools like terraform (preferred), cloud formation etc

• Extensive hands-on experience in programming languages such as Golang(preferred), python, Java, Rust

• Solid understanding of AWS VPC Networking Services like Transit Gateway, Virtual Private Gateway, Direct Connect, Gateway Load balancer, Private link etc.

• Solid understanding of GCP networking services

• Good understanding and experience in L2 to L7 networking protocols including but not limited to Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, HTTP

• Good understanding of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.,

• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab, Argo

• Ability to implement all phases of a development cycle for a software product from understanding requirements, going through design, development and deploy phases

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related field

• Experience in implementation of NMS/EMS applications and good understanding of FCAPS functionalities
• Proficient in Java/J2EE, SpringBoot, SpringCloud, Kafka and REST webservices

• Experience in any of the rule engine like Drools and workflow creation like JBPM, Camunda
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases, DB schema designing and database accessing using Hibernate JPA 
• Experience with SNMP, Netconf, device management, inventory management
• Hands on experience in Wildfly/Jboss App server 
• Experience in dev-ops tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Proficient in Angular, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, ES6 
• Good to have Micro Frontend Architecture exposure
• Experience with tools like Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, JaCoCo, Karma, Jasmine
• Scripting using Shell, Python, etc
• Must be involved in customer interactions for requirement gathering and solution designing discussions

• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Well-versed in data structures, algorithms, and software design. Programming experience with at least one of
• Java or Python and object-oriented design
• Knowledge on SQL, NoSQL databases, Messaging/Caching technologies and AW deployments is a plus
• Exposure to the architecture and design (design patterns, security, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. Experience in building highly scalable business applications, which involve implementing large complex business flows involving multiple third-party integrations
• Prior startup experience is a plus

Key Result Areas

• Min. 3 years of PHP coding experience in PHP frameworks
• Mandatory knowledge of any/all of these frameworks like CakePHP, Laravel, CI, Zend (Preferably CakePHP).
• Should have strong CORE PHP skills
• Should have strong MYSQL skills - Query writing, Indexing , Store procedure
• Should have API writing Skills with security.

To build full-stack solutions for retail & supply chain from managing purchases to selling products to end consumers. You will work on solving some of the complex problems of the retail industry.

Your core responsibilities:

• Solve complex problems and follow good coding practices and complying with existing quality standards.
• Evaluate existing engineering processes and recommend improvements.
• Setup high-quality standards in production running code by performing diligent code reviews and rigorous unit test coverage.
• Brainstorm (sometimes, even prototype) features with the rest of the team based on your knowledge of the codebase.
• And of course, there's always bugs to fix, based on your personal experience or feedback from the team and the 1K community.
