Senior Front-End Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for an expert JavaScript developer who is highly skilled with Vue.js. Your primary focus will be developing user-facing web applications and components.

Good experience in VueJS. Background of React/Angular.Strong knowledge of OOJS and ES6

Ability to write reusable, effective, and scalable JavaScript code. Building modular and reusable components and libraries. Translating client’s technical specifications into code.

You’ll implement them with the Vue.js framework, following generally accepted practices and workflows. You will ensure that you produce robust, secure, modular, and maintainable code. You will coordinate with other team members, including back-end developers and UX/UI designers. Your commitment to team collaboration, perfect communication, and a quality product is crucial.

Work Experience: 3 to 4 years

Responsibilities:

Developing user-facing applications using Vue.js

Building modular and reusable components and libraries

Optimizing your application for performance.

Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows

Staying up-to-date with all recent developments in the JavaScript and Vue.js space

Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found with Vue.js and all project dependencies

Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices.

Skills:

Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features.

Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM.

Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Skills.

Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js

Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including ( Sass or Less depending on your technology stack )

Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms

Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha

Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack, and Git

Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including ( Sass or Less depending on your technology stack )

Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits and use cases.

Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms.

Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code.

Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively work with UX team, product managers, back-end engineers and other technical teams to create new, delightful and scalable UI
• Mentor junior members through training and individual support
• Responsible for all front end development on a project
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Optimize existing user interface designs

The ideal candidate must - 

• 5+ years of experience working with React or React-based frameworks
• Proficiency with browser-based debugging and performance testing
• Proficiency in Git and version control
• Considerable experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JWT Tokens
• Good understanding of common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Yarn etc
• Hands-on experience with CSS-in-JS libraries
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of practical front-end web development experience in writing and testing valid, web standards-based HTML, CSS, JS
• Understanding of basics of computer science such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Development Patterns
• Good experience in front end development with both technical and visual expertise
• Some exposure to agile methodologies and supporting practices, tools, and technology
• Comfortable learning new technologies, tools, development/CI/CD processes, and best practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different locations
• Possess effective verbal communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail
• E-commerce experience is a plus
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA is a plus
• Experience with react framework a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in UI Development and hands on experience on Angular2 or Angular 2+, Node etc.
• Exposure to cross browser compatibility issues, SCSS as the CSS macro-processor, sprites etc.
• Experience with Jira, SVN, Git will be added advantage
• Passionate and eager to learn new technologies
• Intimately knowledgeable about all things web and mobile

Requirements

• Convert design to Angular 5 components
• Use SCSS as the CSS macroprocessor
