Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and develop user-friendly, scalable, and high-performance web applications. This role requires deep expertise in backend technologies, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and AI teams to deliver cohesive features and seamless user experiences.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of backend systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern backend practices.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure as code (where applicable).
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of backend features, from architecture to deployment.
• Monitor production systems and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve our engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in backend development in startups, preferably in SaaS or AI-driven products.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design.
• Strong experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.
• Exposure to message queues, job schedulers, or event-driven architectures (e.g., SQS, Celery, etc).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and writing unit/integration tests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset geared toward performance and security.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Strong Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, Engineering Manager / Director Profile

Mandatory (Experience 1) - Must have 10+ YOE in Data Engineering roles, with at least 2+ years in a Leadership role

Mandatory (Experience 2) - Must have 7+ YOE in hands-on Tech development with Java (Highly preferred) or Python, Node.JS, GoLang

 •  Total IT Experience – 5 to 12 years

•  5+ years of in-depth knowledge in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API

•  2+ years of experience in .NET core, EF Core, and Web API core. MVC,

•  2+ years of experience in Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS3

Primary Responsibilities

●         Serve as the primary resource during the client implementation/onboarding phase

●         Identify, document, and define customer business and technical needs

●         Develop clear user documentation, instructions, and standard procedures

●         Deliver training sessions on solution administration and usage

●         Participate in customer project calls and serve as a subject matter expert on solutions

●         Coordinate tasks across internal and client project teams, ensuring accountability and progress tracking

●         Perform hands-on configuration, scripting, data imports, testing, and knowledge transfer activities

●         Translate business requirements into technical specifications for product configuration or enhancements

●         Collaborate with global team members across multiple time zones, including the U.S., India, and China

●         Build and maintain strong customer relationships to gather and validate requirements

●         Contribute to the development of implementation best practices and suggest improvements to processes

●         Execute other tasks and duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

●         Proven experience leading software implementation projects from presales through delivery

●         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple detailed and interdependent tasks

●         2–5 years of experience in JavaScript and web development, including prior implementation work in a software company

●         Proficiency in some or all of the following:

○         JavaScript, PascalScript, MS SQL Script, RESTful APIs, Azure, Postman

○         Embarcadero RAD Studio, Delphi

○         Basic SQL and debugging

○         SMS integration and business intelligence tools

• BS degree in CS or equivalent work experience 5+ years professional experience building single page applications in ReactJS using TypeScript or JSX with extensive experience working with HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience working with cross-browser behaviors and quirks.

• Passion for new technologies. Product development experience building large scale web applications.
• Experience designing and developing highly scalable consumer facing web application. Care deeply about writing high-performance, reusable code for components that will be used across our product.
• GraphQL experience is preferred.
