Job Title : Backend Developer (Node.js or Python/Django)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer (Node.js or Python/Django) to join our in-house engineering team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js or Python/Django.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs including third-party Authentication APIs (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
• Work with data stores like Redis and Elasticsearch to support caching and search features.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.

Required Skills :

• 2 to 5 Years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python (Django framework).
• Solid understanding and experience with Authentication APIs.
• Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch for caching and full-text search.
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and best practices.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Must have completed at least 2 end-to-end backend projects.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with Docker or containerized environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• 5+ years of experience
• FlaskAPI, RestAPI development experience
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development.
• Basic knowledge of Data manipulation and analysis libraries
• Code versioning and collaboration. (Git)
• Knowledge for Libraries for extracting data from websites.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Cloud (Azure /AWS) technologies

Job Responsibilities

1. Expert knowledge of Web Application Development using PHP6 onwards.
2. Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
3. Must know at least two PHP frameworks out of Laravel, Cakephp, CodeIgniter and YII.
4. Knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal etc. will be an added advantage.
5. Knowledge of eCommerce frameworks like WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart etc. will be an added advantage.
6. Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Concepts & a strong passion for Software Development.
7. Strong Interaction and Design Sense
8. Familiarity with LAMP stack (Apache, MySQL and phpMyAdmin)
9. Comfortable with Linux / Unix based operating system, SQL and Script Programming.
10. Experience in Designing & Developing Database in MySQL is a MUST.
11. Setting up server, Pipelines and deployment knowledge will be a plus
12. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Required Skills

1. Willingness to learn, highly motivated.
2. Fully comfortable in using English. Both in writing and speaking.
3. Not afraid to learn new tech stack.

Desired Skills

1. 1-6 years of experience in Web Development.
2. Candidates with a Lesser Notice period would be preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Should be taking requirements to design and building reusable modules.

- Building, scaling and performance tuning.

- Advance understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3.

- Advance understanding in AWS, NPM (Node JS Package Manager), GIT and Unit testing.

- Strong work experience in Design Patterns and Algorithms.

- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving issues.

- Must have strong communication skills.

• Ability to write optimized codes,debug programs, and integrate applications with third party tools by developing various APIs
• Experience with Databases.
• Experience with writing REST-APIs.
• Prototyping initial collection and leveraging existing tools and/or creating new tools
• Experience working different types of datasets (e.g. unstructured, semi-structured, with missing information)
• Ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment, while picking up new tools and domain knowledge along the way
• A positive attitude, and a growth mindset

Bonus:

• Experience with relevant Python libraries such as Requests, sklearn, Selenium
• Hands on experience in Machine learning implementations

• Strong programming skills in Javascript/TypeScript, Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience in API development and frameworks such Express, Loopback, Hapi.
• Good Understanding of SQL and NoSQL database.
• Experience in test driven development. (writing unit test and API test).
• Understanding of basic cloud computing concepts and experience in using any of the major cloud service providers(AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Ability to build and deploy the application in a containerized environment.
• Understanding of application logging and monitoring systems like Prometheus or Kibana.
