Role Overview 

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be working closely with our core team in building products from  scratch into large-scale platforms and solving business problems leveraging new and innovative  technology. More than anything, we are looking for engineers that are eager to learn and build a  meaningful company. We are a small team and encourage engineers to wear many hats 

Responsibilities  

• Design and build highly reliable and performant applications that deliver a great user experience.
• Own large technical deliverables and execute in a structured manner.
• Take the accountability of the overall health of the applications you build.
• Platformize components as libraries, utilities and promote reuse.
• Be able to conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly

Skills & Requirements

      ▪ Work Experience between 2 to 6  years in large scale applications with desire to work  in fast paced startups  

▪ Experience/Knowledge of Node.JS, Express .JS, AWS, MongoDB.

      Deep understanding of your tools: Languages, frameworks, systems.

• 6+ years Development and delivery experience with Java, Springboot, Micriservices, JPA and from reputable institutes
• Solid experience with application frameworks such as Springboot and strong familiarty with micro services architecture and design patterns
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, Redis etc
• Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications
• Exposure to CI/CD using Gitlab, Jenkins preferred
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, EFK Stack is highly desired
• Broad knowledge of web standards relating to APIs (OAuth, SSL etc.)
• Exposure to product development.
• Understand Architecture Requirements and ensure effective design, development and maintenance of multiple micro services in Java Springboot deployed in cloud within containers consuming data present in relational as well as NoSQL databases.
o The microservices shall expose APIs which allow ease of integration with variety of client apps
o Microservices should handle a scale of thousands of requests per second
• Develop communication patterns between microservices which are efficient, lightweight and secured using Kafka
• Debugging issues on a live setup
• Lead a small team of engineers
• Create test cases and technical documentation
• Maintain a high level of code quality and consistency by adhering to and enhancing the coding standards, design methodology and programming practices

Responsibilities -
● The candidate is expected to lead one of the key business areas end to end. This is pure
hands on role but he/she may need to mentor junior person in the team.
● Requirement gathering with business and get this prioritized in the sprint cycle.
● Come up with Project Architecture design and get the same approved from Tech Review
committee.
● Ensure quality and timely delivery.
Technical and Professional Requirements-

Required Tech Skills
● Very Strong fundamental of OOPs programming
● Very Strong at Java fundamentals, Multithreading, Streams
● Good understanding of Data Structure
● Good knowledge of any distributed caching /computing framework/tools
● Good at SQL query/optimization

Nice To Have (willing to learn)
● AWS Lambda (Serverless), Redis, Kinesis , Big Data , Sparx , spring boot , NoSQL
database , React Js, JMS/SQS , AWS Cloud, nodejs, python
● Well versed with latest technology stack on server side programming
● Good to have business knowledge of Loan management.

Specific duties include:

1. Creating technology standards and practices and ensuring adherence

2. Leading the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships

3. Closely working with senior CTO and Building and managing the technology team

4. Overseeing research and development as well as special projects

5. Making recommendations to senior management through presentations and advocacy

6. Managing data systems implementation and monitoring their effectiveness in meeting business goals

7. Supervising software testing, and information systems security and maintenance

8. Managing staff in functional areas such as LAN/WAN architecture, systems operations, and hardware and software support

9 Anticipating and reacting to major technology changes

10 Developing technology contingency plans to keep projects on track

11 Supervising Web application and software development
