About the Position:

The Professional Services Consultant will be a technical consultant accountable for gathering customer requirements, delivering best practice, and executing customer implementation projects while driving new revenue through identifying new opportunities and user adoption. The position also requires providing technical guidance and sharing best practices with the team.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the technical implementation of projects to ensure successful customer deployment and adoption of Egnyte solutions
• Act as liaison between customers and internal teams such as Engineering, Product Management and Technical Support to solve technical problems and propose new feature development
• Engage multiple constituents at the customer organization – Business users and IT
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
• Communicate professionally and succinctly and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Reports to Professional Services Director

 

Qualifications:

• Strong software programming skills that cover four or more of the following areas:
• Experience with various Integrated Development environments (IDE)
• Experience with software repositories
• Programming experience (Python, Javascript, SQL, Bash, PowerShell preferred)
• Full stack web development and app integrations
• Desktop App Development
• Strong application development skills
• Use of SDK platform tools for API integration
• Prior experience developing and implementing Enterprise software or supporting Enterprise applications in technical capacity for a SaaS environment
• Strong experience in Customer Facing Implementation roles
• Excellent customer engagement, presentation, and communication skills
• Attention to detail and adapt to process in a quick changing environment
• Fluency of spoken and written command of English. Any other language is a plus.
• Experience with Governance and Life Sciences industry preferred
• Engagement with pre-sales activities, scoping requirements, Proof of Concept (POC) and product demos.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred
• 8+ years of relevant technical function experience

We are looking for a Software Engineer across levels who have ever contributed to any large-scale systems be it content platform e.g. Quora/Medium, streaming platform e.g. Netflix or Hotstar, activity log system e.g. Twitter feeds or payment systems like Razorpay to name a few. I/O, Read-Writes, DB connections, Distributed Locking, Memory, Bandwidth, High Throughput, Low Latency and minimal CPU cycles excite you!! Who are you?
● 2-14yrs years of relevant large-scale product company experience ideally in a fast-moving B2C/B2B environment.
● Programming. Proficiency in object-oriented and multi-threaded programming in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python,React.js, Node.js, Next.js, PHP, Golang etc.
● Deep understanding & experience of high-performance web-scale & real-time response systems, and large scale distributed systems.
● CS Fundamentals – exposure to a wide variety of problem spaces, Good in Data Structures and Algorithms Design, Problem Solving.
● Open source contributors and can do quick POC of technologies will catch our eyes.
● Expertise in designing, implementing and operating distributed Systems architectures and concepts, especially on public cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
● Demonstrated expertise in applying systems patterns (e.g., Client-server, N-tier, Master/Slave, MVC) and API constructions (e.g., Swagger, OpenAPI).
● Experience in a high-availability 24/7 environment (cloud platforms are a plus). Expertise should include several of the following:
○ High-performance,up-time (99.999%) and self-recoverable systems.
○ Control, orchestration and automation platforms leveraging containers or VMs. ○ RPC frameworks (e.g., Protobuf/gRPC, Thrift, Bond)
● Experience with one or more Data Stores like (MySql, Postgres ) and NoSQL DataStores ( Mongo, Cassandra, Scylladb, Hbase, Redis, Aerospike etc.).
● Experience with Agile software development, TDD, and Continuous Integration. ● Experience in building Web/RESTFul/GraphQL services.
● Sound knowledge of *Nix, ORM(Hibernate, JPA), Spring ecosystem, Messaging platforms like Kafka/RMQ, build framework like Maven/Gradle etc.
● Very strong system design and object-oriented skills with a nifty ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction.
● Solid coding skills with the ability to drive teams through massive refactoring exercises & improve coding standards across large code bases.
● Deep knowledge, understanding & experience of working with a large variety of multi-tier architectures. Awareness of pitfalls & use cases for a large variety of solutions. ● Exposure to complete product development cycles – from inception to production to scaling up, supporting new requirements, and re-architectures.
● Having experience building web infrastructure in cloud environments (such as AWS or Azure/GCP) is a plus. You understand and are always excited about learning new e.g.docker, Kubernetes.
● Education. M.Tech/M.Eng in Computer Science/Engineering or B.Tech/B.E in the same disciplines with equivalent years of experience would be a plus.

The key aspects of this role include:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
• Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements
based on business need and architectural improvements.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers.
• Handle server-side code for a production platform and contribute to new features

To be the right fit, you'll need:
• More than 4+ years of experience as a software developer in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc.
• Good understanding of common design patterns and architecture principles to design reliable and Scalable applications
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of databases line NoSQL or MongoDB
• Good to have AWS and Docker or Web services
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

About the Role
As a Principal Software Engineer with Treebo, you’ll have the opportunity to own and deliver
product(s) that will help Treebo accomplish its goals. The engineering team is at the fore front
of implementing new technologies in order to gain a dominant foothold in the Hospitality
industry. You will design and deploy scalable, high performance, multi-tenant systems. You will
interact with other engineering teams and contribute back to the open source tech community.

Responsibilities
● Owns team's output and E2E definition and execution of SDLC. Drives sprint
planning, estimates & prioritizes tasks, Keeps key stakeholders updated on
progress, milestones and any potential slippages.
● Identifies pitfalls across code bases proactively. Writes model code that is looked
up to. Understands internals of programming languages & runtimes. Creates
common reusable components / libraries- Uses advanced data structures.
● Designs API contracts between large systems with end to end service design and
active leadership towards long term sustainability including versioning, complex
migration plans, impact analysis across products.
● Owns NFRs and pushes the envelop on performance, scalability and high availability
with cognisance towards cost of infra. Drives tech stack selection independently,
mentors junior engineers. Evangelises of generic platform building across the
organisation.
● Troubleshoots unseen issues across codebases. Solves large end to end cross
cutting problems with elegant solutions with an eye on long term sustainability.
● Partners with and influences product managers on “how”. Leads the pack on hiring
and evangalizes steeper hiring standards towards building A+ team. Represents
treebo on external platform / conferences.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
● 7+ years relevant work experience in software engineering while leading teams.
● Proficiency in more than one modern programming language such as
Python/Java/C++ & associated tech stack to write maintainable, scalable,
unit-tested code
● Experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully
delivered
● Deep understanding of design patterns, optimizations, deployments with a Strong
object oriented design skills
● Experience mentoring other software engineers.
● Experience with full life cycle development in any programming language
