Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in legacy system migration, server management, and deployment. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and migrating an existing Java/JSF (PrimeFaces), EJB, REST API, and SQL Server-based application to a modern Spring Boot architecture. The role involves ensuring smooth production deployments, troubleshooting server issues, and optimizing the existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

● Maintain & Enhance the existing Java, JSF (PrimeFaces), EJB, REST API, andSQL Server application.

● Migrate the legacy system to Spring Boot while ensuring minimal downtime.

● Manage deployments using Ansible, GlassFish/Payara, and deployer.sh scripts.

● Optimize and troubleshoot server performance (Apache, Payara, GlassFish).

● Handle XML file generation, email integrations, and REST API maintenance.

● Database management (SQL Server) including query optimization and schema updates.

● Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth transitions during migration.

● Automate CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Ansible, and shell scripts.

● Document migration steps, deployment processes, and system architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java, JSF (PrimeFaces), EJB, and REST APIs.

● Strong expertise in Spring Boot (migration experience from legacy Java is a must).

● Experience with Payara/GlassFish server management and deployment.

● Proficient in Apache, Ansible, and shell scripting (deployer.sh).

● Solid knowledge of SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, optimization).

● Familiarity with XML processing, email integrations, and Maven builds.

● Experience in production deployments, server troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

● Ability to work independently and lead migration efforts.

Preferred Skills

● Knowledge of microservices architecture (helpful for modernization).

● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

Mentoring teams to carry forward recognised and optimised solutions, building conducive environments for knowledge transfer and maintaining standards in terms of deliveries form a major part of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust scalable database systems
• Design, build and deploy internal applications to support our native technical ecosystem
• Collaborate with Subject-Matter experts to design data-driven modules for analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
• 3-4 years of experience in Java

Skills

• Expertise in object-oriented programming concepts and data structures
• Strong knowledge of working with XMLs/Jsons
• Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (MySQL, MongoDB, GraphDB)
• Good knowledge of indexing/search libraries like Lucene/Solr/Elasticsearch
• Exposure to Spring MVC architecture and RESTful APIs
• Well-versed with Agile methodology of SDLC
• Good to have: Knowledge of standard DevOps skills like Build tools (Maven/gradle), Continuous integration (Jenkins), Version Control (Github/Gitlab)

Responsibilities:

• Take on complex problems that span multiple components and teams.

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which include: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support

• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules that handle the interaction between multiple components.

• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions

• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable

• Participate and contribute to architectural discussions

• Solve production issues. Investigate and provide solutions to minimize the business impact due to the outage

• Continuously improve performance metrics of modules you own.

• Collaborate effectively across teams to solve problems, execute and deliver results

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science

• Software engineering and product delivery experience, with a strong background in algorithms

• Experience in architecting & building real-time, large-scale e-commerce applications

• Experience with high-performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus

• Excellent command over Data Structures and Algorithms

• Experience with web technologies, Go/Java/Python

• Language: GO or Python

• Strong expertise in DS and Algo

• Strong leadership skills - have experience mentoring, building products from scratch or incumbent in design and architecture.

• Have worked in the scaling of the system right from scratch.

• Someone worked in small user base to a large user base and wrote optimized code

• Both HLD and LLD

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• M-Tech or advanced degree a plus
• Hackathon participation and accolades are a plus

Job Role:

• 4+ years of object-oriented Java / J2EE development
•  Full SDLC experience (requirements gathering, architecture, development, QA, etc)…
•  Experience with Spring (MVC, IOP/DI, REST, Security) & Hibernate/Spring
•  Experience with SOAP / REST web services
•  Knowledge of SQL
•  Knowledge of No SQL concepts, understanding of Solr, Redis and Mongo DB is desirable
•  Must have worked on any one messaging solutions
•  Bonus Points for micro service design and development experience
•  Bonus points for any mobile development experience
•  Used Agile methodology
•  Bonus Points for experience working on Unix, shell scripting & Build Systems
•  Experience in performance optimization is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS. 
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture. 
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible. 
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability. 
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required: 

• At least 3 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds. 
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases. 
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j. 
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs. 
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks. 
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks. 
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications. 
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools. 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. 
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms. 
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences. 
• Experience building a large scale social or location-based app.

• Candidates with good experience with SDLC
• Minimum 3+ years of hard core coding experience is mandatory
• Excellent hands on coding in Java, J2EE, Spring, Struts

Your Qualifications:

 7 to 12 years of experience with majority as Java engineer

 Strong hands on experience on building application using technologies Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle.

 Experience in building Micro Services using Spring Boot / Go.

 Strong knowledge and experience with SQL queries and databases like Postgre SQL/Oracle.

 Strong knowledge and experience on Platform components such as Docker, Kubernetes and Service Mesh (Istio).

 Good knowledge of scripting languages (preferably Python and Bash)

 Familiarity with CI/CD environment (Jenkins).

 Experience on Observability stack such as ELK Stack, Prometheus & Grafana would be added advantage.

 Should have experience on Active MQ based async queuing system design and deployment.

 Strong experience of system design and implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.

 Familiarity with Hazelcast and Zk Solution would be a plus.

 Strong skills to write technical design documentation.

 Experience of leading a team as tech lead.

 Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

 Good communication skills with tech/non-tech people.

What You'll Do:

 Assigned to software development projects and/or system enhancements as tech lead.

 Be engaged in a whole process of development project (requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing/verification, deployment, operation/maintenance).

 Work closely with project manager and other engineers. Some of them are in different locations such as Japan and Singapore.

 Always improve the design quality, code quality, testing quality and system quality spontaneously. In addition, create such a culture in our team.

 Understand business needs and user behavior and develop solutions to those needs.

 Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our systems and propose system improvements.

 Guide and support less-experienced members as mentor and role model to improve the team productivity and achieve team’s goals together.

 Familiarity with Telecom Service Provider’s Billing Ecosystem/BSS Systems.

 Familiarity with and experience on Cloud Native Technologies.
