React Native Developer

Tech Stack / Requirements:

1. Experience required: 1 - 2 yrs atleast
2. Candidates must be from an IT Engineering background (B.E./B.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields), B.Sc. IT, BCA or related fields.
3. Strong understanding of JavaScript
4. Experience with React Native / Expo
5. Familiarity with SQL
6. Exposure to REST APIs integration
7. Fast learner with strong problem-solving & debugging skills

Responsibilities:

1. Build & improve mobile app features using React Native / Expo
2. Develop and maintain web features using React.js / Next.js
3. Integrate APIs and ensure seamless user experiences across platforms
4. Collaborate with backend & design teams for end-to-end development
5. Debug & optimize performance across mobile and web
6. Write clean, maintainable code and ship to production regularly

Work closely with the founding team / CTO and contribute to product launches

• Own front-end experience activities including UI design, development, testing, and support of complex web and native applications.
• Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Writing application interface codes using JavaScript following React workflows.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
• Documenting application changes and developing updates.
• Produce applications that provide measurable business values.

• Previous experience working as a React Developer.
• Solid understanding of website and native application development principles
• An understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them.
• Experienced in using Mobile Views on iOS and Android
• Good understanding of MVC frameworks
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of React.js/React Native applications.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of React, React Native
• Experience with user interface design.
• Knowledge of how to build and consume APIs and the basics of internet communication protocols and web frameworks
• A knack for writing clean, readable React-Native code
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.

About the role:

Punchh Tech India (Fully Owned Subsidiary of Punchh Inc., USA) is looking for creative React Native developers who think outside the box and can push the limits at times! These positions are about someone who is really passionate about creating world-class mobile apps in Android and/or iOS and has a serious app store portfolio to prove it. You will be in deep at every step of the development process and must be hands-on. Involvement from brainstorming to pushing ideas to the team and getting the apps out of the door in as little time as possible. You will also be a devil's advocate and look for flaws, suggest the remedy and motivate team members.

Experience Required: Relevant 2+ years in React Native.

Skillset Required:-

• Good knowledge of JavaScript, OOPS, React- Native, mobile app lifecycle, GIT/SVN.
• Good understanding of UI/UX, app preformation, memory optimisation, delivery feasibilities, coding best practices, design principles.
• Ability to integrate existing components and make custom react - native components
• Ability to think laterally and contribute to problem-solving.
• Must be skilled and enthusiastic to explore new technologies and techniques to achieve project requirements.
• Understanding requirements and functional specifications and well versed with design programming principles.
• Knowledge of react native(RN) as a primary and knowledge of Android or iOS development as secondary skills required.

Engineers have experience:

• Expert experience with hybrid mobile application and plugin development using Cordova, PhoneGap
• Solid understanding of vanilla JavaScript independent of any framework
• Proven expertise in JavaScript tooling—debugging and build tools
• Good to have some experience with OpenCV and creating Cordova plugins. Awesome, if worked on some camera vision-related apps in the past.
• Experience with upgrading Cordova projects on iOS and Android.
• Experience with task automation frameworks like grunt in mobile app development tooling together with Xcode and Android SDK
• Experience with salesforce mobile cloud iOS and Android SDKs is a plus
• Experience with Native iOS & Android development is a plus
• Should have expert level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
• Should have strong debugging skills on Developer Tools of the browser and working with cross-browser UI.
• Unit and UI testing frameworks like Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, Protractor, etc.
• Should have experience in Response / Adaptive Web Design for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Good understanding of CSS preprocessors LESS/SASS.
• Must know about the complete deployment cycle (Alpha - Beta - Prod) on the App Store and Play Store.
• Provisioning DevOps tooling and continuous integration
• Driving development best practices, including unit testing, coding standards, and code reviews
• Capable of implementing industry best-practices related to mobile application development concepts, design, and architecture

Preferred experience includes:

• Familiarity with other front-end development such as Angular,  React or Vue
• Good to have task automators like Gulp and Grunt
• System monitoring and security design and implementation
