Job Description:

We are seeking a Test Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our dynamic testing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual/Automation testing, excellent communication skills, the ability to write comprehensive test cases, and a deep understanding of the domain in which our products operate. The Manual Tester should be a proactive team player, capable of taking ownership of their work, maintaining good rapport within the team and across other teams, and providing clear and accurate documentation of testing activities. Hands on experience in automation testing and API testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in manual testing and automation testing.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong test case writing/execution and Automation scripting skills.
• Deep domain knowledge relevant to the software under test.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
• Effective documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience with Web Automation is mandatory and mobile automation is an added advantage.
• Experience with API testing.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

QA engineer responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)

The QA technician role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

• Proven work experience in software development
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• knowledge of Selenium/Appium for web and app automation in android and IOS
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Experience of 3 years to 8 years
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Can write test cases for - Unit level, Functional and Integration testing, Load testing.  
• Researches issues in order to identify root cause, documents and reproduces problems. Develop test plans and detailed test cases for new product functionality.  
• Ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously and escalate risks.
• Competency to utilize Company software and willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and Fast Paced Environment.
• Leadership quality and to be a self-starter and if required can work as an Individual contributor.
• Test Execution in all levels of testing including Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Load Testing, System Testing etc.
• Bug Reporting on Bug Reporting tool like Bugzilla, JIRA, MANTIS or QC.
• Able to do exploratory and non functional testing as an when required.
• Effective defect tracking and reporting to improve communications and reduce delay.
• Knowledge of testing process deliverables.
• Should be proficient in using Google Docs (documents, spreadsheet, presentation) and Microsoft office suite.
• Can provide assurance for build releases to staging and production environments.
• Collaborates with quality assurance team and software development to resolve issues and enhance the application.

Required Skills:

• 0-2 years in field of Software Quality Assurance (finance domain), manual and mobile applications
• Knowledge on Automation and Security Testing.
• Excellent communication skills (written + verbal)
• Experience in preparing Test Cases and  testing strategies  .  
• Experience in Bug Reporting and familiar with any Bug Reporting tool like Bugzilla, JIRA, MANTIS or QC.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC and Defect Tracking.
• Experience in API testing, XML, Web Services, SOAP and JSON.
• Experience in automated test tools- QTP or  Selenium Web Driver.
• Experience on performance testing with good knowledge in Jmeter and LoadUI etc.

Here is what we are looking for:

- Working knowledge with Manual testing, Mobile app testing, Web Testing, api testing, DB Queries.

- Knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI, Appium/Android Espresso, JMeter, etc.
- Plan and execute Functional, Security, and Performance testing multiple product lines (Mobile & Web).
- Experience with Web service technology like REST, XML/SOAP.
- Good understanding of Build, Deployment, Continuous Integration/Delivery process.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
- Excellent written, oral communication skills and collaboration skills.
