ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for early members of our India team. You will be part of the team that establishes our India product development team. We are looking for candidates who have high potential, are excited about tackling the climate change problem and are excited to grow in a high-growth environment while working with the Singapore HQ.

A junior/mid-level backend software engineer. Must be comfortable to work in a small development team and have the initiative to work alone on smaller problem sets. Must be passionate about climate-tech for a better future.

• Build backend server applications using Flask/DJango framework
• Collaborate with the data team to integrate data pipelines into our backend system.
• Collaborate with the front end team.
• Analyze processes and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas of improvement.
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
• Take lead on projects, as needed.

• Required skills:
• Python Backend Development Frameworks (Flask, Django). Backend development in other languages/frameworks can be considered too
• NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• SQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, DuckDB)
• Running/managing Linux servers on Cloud services (AWS/GCS/Azure)
• Optional skills:
• Front End Web development (ReactJS)
• Python data science tools (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy)
• Python NLP tools

YOUR PREFERRED BACKGROUND

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline AND 1+ years working experience in the IT industry.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding requirements from the product manager and translating to technical specifications
• DB schema development
• API development (structuring REST endpoints + real-time endpoints like socket.io integration)

• Guiding junior developers on best coding practices

Requirements:

OnScreen is looking for a full-time hands-on Software Developer responsible for bringing status disrupting products in the market.

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design and coding of scalable and high performant web applications working on technologies including Microsoft .Net 4.0, Win 32, C#/C++,  and Azure. You will be a part of an Agile development team and would have full access to the complete development life cycle including opportunity to shape requirements and application design. We are looking for relevant experience of around 5-7 years.
