Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Python/PySpark
• Optimize SQL queries for Redshift and Athena
• Develop Lambda functions for serverless data processing
• Configure AWS DMS for database migration and replication
• Implement infrastructure as code with CloudFormation
• Build optimized data models for performance
• Manage RDS databases and AWS service integrations
• Troubleshoot and improve data processing efficiency
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders
• Implement data quality checks and validation
• Document data pipelines and architecture
• Monitor workflows and implement alerting
• Keep current with AWS services and best practices

Required Technical Expertise:

• Python/PySpark for data processing
• AWS Glue for ETL operations
• Redshift and Athena for data querying
• AWS Lambda and serverless architecture
• AWS DMS and RDS management
• CloudFormation for infrastructure
• SQL optimization and performance tuning

Candidate must have 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with 1–2 years leading engineers or owning major systems.

Candidate must be from a product-based organization with a startup mindset.

Must be strong in one core backend language: Node.js, Go, Java, or Python.

Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, high availability, and microservices architecture.

Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong command over system design, data structures, performance tuning, and scalable architecture

Ability to partner with Product, Data, Infrastructure, and lead end-to-end backend roadmap execution.

• Design and implement robust backend systems and APIs using Java or similar backend language and Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks
• Integrate backend services with existing custom ERP systems 
• Work closely with the founder on product architecture, feature prioritization, and go-to-market feedback

Roles & Responsibilities

Writing and testing code, debugging programs and integrating applications with third-party web services. To be successful in this role, you should have experience using server-side logic and work well in a team.

Ultimately, you'll build highly responsive web applications that align with our business needs. Write effective, scalable code Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance Integrate user-facing elements into applications.

Test and debug programs

Improve functionality of existing systems Implement security and data protection solutions Assess and prioritize feature requests

Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask, etc)

Requirements

1 to 5 years of experience as a Python Developer

Hands on experience of Flask, Django or Gin or Revel or Sanic

Knowledge of design/architectural patterns will be considered as a plus

Experience working in an agile development environment with a strong focus on rapid software development

Experience in AWS or similar cloud technologies

Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Proven ability to complete assigned task according to the outlined scope and timeline

Experience with messaging frameworks such as SQS/Kafka/RabbitMq

Experience with Elastic Search

Willingness to learn new and different technologies

What You'll do:

• 2-5 years of experience building scalable backends using Python
• In-depth knowledge of Python/Django or Flask
• Familiar with oauth integration Social Networking API (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Google+)
• Experience integrating with mobile Apps
• Django/Flask permissions model, caching, async mechanisms
• Understanding of caching, database interactions
• Able to engineer the best performing solutions and always keeping scalability in mind
