Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer (.NET, Azure) to develop high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions. You will collaborate with product owners, security specialists, and engineers to deliver robust applications.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain server-side software using .NET (C#), SQL, and Azure.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs.
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure.
• Ensure version control using Azure DevOps/Git.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Debug and optimize application performance.

Qualifications :

• 3+ Years of server-side development experience.
• Strong proficiency in .NET, SQL, and Azure.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and DevOps/Git.

Strong Senior Backend Engineer profiles

Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 5+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience building scalable, production-grade systems

Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have strong backend development experience using one or more frameworks (FastAPI / Django (Python), Spring (Java), Express (Node.js).

Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have deep understanding of relevant libraries, tools, and best practices within the chosen backend framework

Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have strong experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL, along with efficient data modeling and performance optimization

Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and backend systems, including system design and clean code practices

Mandatory (Domain) – Experience with financial systems, billing platforms, or fintech applications is highly preferred (fintech background is a strong plus)

Mandatory (Company) – Must have worked in product companies / startups, preferably Series A to Series D

Mandatory (Education) – Candidates from Tier - 1 engineering institutes (IITs, BITS, are highly preferred)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in trading, low-latency systems, or high-frequency trading (HFT). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize backend components powering real-time trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend microservices and real-time trading components using Python.
• Build low-latency, high-throughput systems optimized for trading workflows.
• Integrate with market data feeds, order management systems, APIs, and broker/exchange interfaces.
• Write clean, scalable, and high-performance code with a focus on reliability and fault tolerance.
• Work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust and scalable platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
• Ensure system security, stability, and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of backend development experience with Python.
• Strong experience in trading/HFT/fintech/market infrastructure is mandatory.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Experience working with multithreading, multiprocessing, asynchronous programming.
• Strong knowledge of API development (REST, WebSockets).
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL/MySQL, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience building low-latency and high-availability systems.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, shell scripting, and performance profiling.
• Exposure to FIX protocol, OMS, RMS, or market data systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

You can expect to do some or all of the following:

1. Read through protocols’ whitepapers and smart contracts to derive metrics and analyze risks
2. Architect the backend for APIs, async jobs, and blockchain integration
3. Build clean, concise APIs for customer integration, along with the documentation
4. Setup, run and maintain full and archive nodes across different chains
5. Integrate with multiple partners like exchanges and custody providers
6. Fool-proof security across the stack - encryption, hashing, privacy, VPC, etc.
7. Infrastructure as code - build terraform scripts and ensure easy replication of the infra across different regions
8. Research the top DeFi protocols to uncover better insights for our customers and evaluate their risk profiles, security, and historical returns
9. Manage production deployments, logging, and monitoring

We expect you to be fairly comfortable with working with both web3 and web2 stacks. We do not expect that you have web3 experience on day 1, but you should be willing to wear multiple hats, learn things quickly and move fast.

3. Understand the fundamentals of building and integrating APIs and secure systems. Bonus if you know a bit about blockchains and protocols
4. You can be strong on the backend, front-end, or can dabble everywhere. We want you to play to your strengths and will provide enough opportunities to learn and do things outside of your comfort zone
