Objectives of this role

Work on building the back-end applications that power web and mobile applications.

Developing and implementing complex Node.js applications to the cloud infrastructure.

Designing and maintaining scalable and efficient APIs and integrating third-party APIs into Node.js applications.

Your tasks

• Write an efficient, transparent and well-documented code that meets industry regulations and standards.
• Work collaboratively with designers, stakeholders and product owners to define, design and implement new features in existing software solutions.
• Participate in performance optimisation and tuning of existing Node.js applications by reviewing software code and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Ensure proper adherence to privacy and security standards.
• Stay updated with the emerging technologies and trends in Node.js development.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in web application development with expertise in Node.js.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies like CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of database technologies and agile development methodologies.
• Experience working with databases, such as MySQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks, such as Express.js.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and DevOps principles.
• Good knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT , cookies etc) 
• Excellent problem-solving and management skills.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Node.js.
• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS.
• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks, such as React.js or AngularJS.

5. It is important they have those skills so that they can take over current work. There are codes written in both Java as well as Python. (Java is legacy but that is the main search engine code). So it will be counter-productive if engineers hired have experience in both.

We are looking for a Cloud developer responsible for the development and maintenance of cloud applications deployed in AWS environment. Your primary focus will be the development of such applications and their integration with other services. Responsibilities:

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of services
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

• Develop unit tests for all new code
• Provide code reviews for all new code and participate to code reviews of other people

• Design and build services on top of AWS

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Python
• Strong knowledge of Web Services (Rest or SOAP APIs)

• Play a significant role in the ongoing evolution and refinement of current tools and applications
• Triage, troubleshoot, escalate and provide resolution to production issues.
• Reproduce, document and escalate product defects to the Engineering Team.
• Provide well-thought out and reliable direction, both in technical and non-technical terms, to help customers.
• Take ownership of customer issues, including initial troubleshooting, identification of root cause and issue resolution or escalation.
• Identify and escalate priority issues that need immediate attention.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams which requires strong presentation skills and attention to details
  
  
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent work experience. MS degree is preferred.
• 9+ years development experience in JAVA (using OO Design and Analysis, Design Patterns, etc.)
• High experience in Java 8 Required.
• 4+ years’ experience building highly scalable, distributed and reliable Restful Web Services using Spring, Jersey, etc.
• Should have knowledge on Cloud applications preferably on AWS.
• Knowledge on building Front end applications using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with relational DBs like MySQL and NoSQL Database like MongoDB, Solr/Lucene will be a plus.
• Experience with Tomcat, Jax-RS, REST, JPA, IntelliJ, Groovy, Hibernate is must.
• Experience with build technologies like Gradle, Jenkins will be a plus.
• Experience with Test Driven Development using TestNG/Junit testing frameworks.
• Experience working with version control like GIT.
