Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and resilient microservices. You will work at the intersection of complex backend logic, real-time data streaming, and cloud infrastructure to deliver seamless user experiences. 

Key Responsibilities

• System Design: Architect and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Scalability: Build distributed systems capable of handling high traffic and large datasets with low latency.
• Database Management: Design and optimize complex schemas in both Relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Event-Driven Architecture: Implement real-time messaging and data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage services on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), leveraging managed services to improve system reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers.  

Technical Requirements

• Core Java: Deep expertise in Java (8 or higher), including concurrency, multithreading, and JVM tuning.
• Frameworks: Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Messaging: Proven experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming and asynchronous processing.
• Cloud: Proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or GCP (GCE, GCS, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub).
• Databases: Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, alongside NoSQL experience (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis).
• DevOps & Tools: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microservices Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Understanding of distributed caching strategies and load balancing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a "clean code" mentality.  

Job Description

We are looking for motivated IT professionals with at least one year of industry experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, AI, or Cloud technologies, or should be enthusiastic and ready to upskill and shift to new and emerging technologies. This role is primarily remote; however, candidates may be required to visit the office occasionally for meetings or project needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Software Engineer (Python) at Hubler. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications while working within a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and develop software solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of products working closely with business team.
• Independently own software components and co-own entire applications with a small group of fellow developers.
• Formally mentor junior software engineers on the team, reviewing design documents, (peer) reviewing code, providing design direction and guidance.

Requirements:

• 4+ years' experience in software product development and delivery.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering (preferably computer science or sister branches) from a reputed institute (preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes).
• Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, algorithms and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• All experience should be from good product development or e-commerce background.
• Able to take ownership of working with at least one of mobile or web app teams for complete integration with backend.
• Must have shown good stability in all your previous associations.
• Have strong backend knowledge and cloud development exposure.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST API development.
• Worked with at least 1 RDBMS (Mysql preferred).
• NoSql is a plus.
• Have used or are very hands-on with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle/Ant, Kafka, GIT/bitbucket in a very agile work place.
• Writing high quality code which is made better by unit tests and integration tests is how you work.
• Comfortable with exploring proven open source tech stack like Grafana, Kibana, Jira, Prometheus, caches like Redis/Memcached, task queues like celery, to name a few.
• Knowledge of test driven development and AWS tech stack will be a good plus.

Role & Responsibility

As a Backend Developer, You will be involved in all aspects of development playing a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and help develop best practices for future development. You will be working closely with Tech, Design and Quality team to build and launch the product.

• Code, develop, design and architect features related to the existing application. We expect you to own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship
• Design, implement and maintain highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications

The Java/Backend Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of Bytemark’s backend APIs. This person utilizes their knowledge of Java development & web technologies as an integral part of the software development team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and deliver highly scalable and reliable APIs
• Collaborate with development team and product owners to analyze, design, and implement user stories using an agile methodology.
• Write high-quality software code that complies with design specifications and meets development and support requirements.
• Develop unit tests and test changes using an agile methodology.
• Use a variety of tools to perform unit testing, automated builds, and source control.
• Participate as a member in Agile teams, and work with other team member to review user stories, estimate effort for user stories, and participate in sprint reviews.
