Job Description For Purchase Engineer

Candidates coming from Electrical / Electronics manufacturing background would have an added advantage .

The position would report to Sr. Purchase Engineer .

Experience Level 3-6 years

Salary budget could be up to 6.00 lacs per annum

Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and

managing vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities

 Source Raw materials, fabrication & consumable electrical items.

 Run MRP thrice a week for optimal results.

 Raise & issue PO to supplier,

 Ensure on-time supplier delivery;

 Raise debit-note for rejected materials;

 Update stores for returning rejected materials;

 Update pending work order status/report to Suppliers;

 Reviewing, evaluating, consolidating, upgrading and approving purchase requests;

 Track price changes & prepare comparative statements;

 Craft negotiation strategies and close commercial deals with best terms;

 Ensure clear requirements documentation;

 Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers;

 Determine quantity and timing of deliveries;

 Examine & resolve shortages and quality issues; procurement delays Coordinate regularly with Sales, Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores, HR &;Admin,

Process & Accounts Departments;

 Maintain records/reports as per ISO requirements;

 Work non-traditional hours on weekends and holidays during exigencies;

 Any other task assigned by management;

 Reporting to Dy Manager-Purchase

Key Result Areas/KRAs (annual evaluation across entire Company) for Purchase Engineer:

 Identifying & recommending Suppliers;

 Coordinating with Suppliers by raising Enquiries, Purchase Orders And Receipt Of Materials;

 Follow–up on all Orders placed;

 Analysing the purchase requirements.

 Developing and maintaining systems to procure material.

 Cost Reduction - alternate Vendor Development;

 Handle any related matters to Purchase;

 Responsible for timely passing of the bills;

 Responsible in gathering & sorting related documents for Purchase;

 Responsible for timely delivery of the material.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Financial Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to management for review and decision-making.
• Taxation & Compliance:
• Assist in preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Support audits and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
• Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid within agreed terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding amounts and follow-up on overdue accounts.
• Perform aging analysis and communicate with clients/vendors regarding payments.
• Financial Analysis:
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on variances and trends to senior management.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial optimization.
• Team Collaboration & Supervision:
• Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting practices and tasks.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong background in general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zohobooks, Tally, SAP, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of using ZOHO Books.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Zoho Books for accounting, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools.

Product management

• Work closely with the product team to translate abstract business & product requirements into crisp technical specifications along with a delivery roadmap

Product Development

• Define code architecture decisions to support a high-performance and scalable product with a minimal footprint
• Developing the frontend/backend and APIs, primarily using the MERN stack for Troopod.
• Delivering a robust backend platform for the product by incorporating important considerations regarding minimal downtime, high availability, data redundancy, tight security, etc. into the design
• Preparing test cases, creating automated build and test processes, setting up systems for CI/CD, and monitoring for the product
• Deploying on AWS using the right services for optimal performance
• Support the Troopod mobile application in its entirety, including working on bug fixes and improving application performance, reliability, and stability
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Managing development and deployment of the product following Modular programming, proper documentation, and code versioning

Customer Success

• Ensuring seamless use of Troopod Web-app and Mobile App by clients or internal teams and successful integration of client systems with Troopod backend and APIs wherever applicable
• Assisting clients with necessary remote support needed for the smooth understanding of and integration with Troopod product

Team Growth

• Contributing to the growth of the engineering team through proactive effort on knowledge growth, process improvements, and performance enhancements on existing solutions

Prior experience in the following things is MUST:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on technical development experience as a MERN stack developer
• In-depth knowledge of NodeJS, Express or Restify

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

• Developing front end website architecture (Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS3).
