PHP Developer (WordPress)

We are inviting a talented WordPress Developer specializing in Pro by Theme.co to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with custom plugin development, API integrations, and converting Figma designs into responsive and visually appealing web pages. We need someone who is detail-oriented, precise, and capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines. Experience with multilingual websites is also a key requirement.

Location: Mumbai & Vicinity (India)

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress pages using Pro by Theme.co.
• Develop custom WordPress plugins to extend the functionality of websites.
• Integrate third-party APIs to create seamless experiences.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent performance across all devices.
• Work with multilingual websites and implement WPML or similar solutions.
• Maintain website architecture and optimize page performance for SEO.
• Collaborate with the design and content teams to create visually engaging and functional web pages.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of using CSS grids.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML & CSS.
• Experience with custom plugin development and API integration.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in design implementation.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good to have:

• Experience in managing WooCommerce sites.
• Experience working on multilingual websites using tools like WPML.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.

Front-end engineers at AssetSprout work on our products. They include software for Certified Financial Planners, their clients, and also internal admin tools. They work with the founders, product designers, and backend engineers and deliver towards the company’s vision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own product features end to end in a scalable, secure and maintainable way. The buck stops with you on whatever you own.
• Provide technical solutions through design, architecture and implementation. Wear multiple hats in delivering greenfield projects from concept to production. 
• Work with the product and design team in understanding and shaping the customer experience.
• Establish, advocate and bring your experience on coding styles, best practices, and in scaling the product from MVP to production.
• Iterate fast. Display maturity in prioritizing towards velocity while balancing quality. As a startup, we break or make on how fast we deliver.
• Teach and mentor other front-end engineers. Focus on providing technical expertise and solutions regardless of how long one has been working professionally.

Requirements

• Professional experience working with any of the front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Ember etc.
• Solid expert level understanding of Semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript concepts.
• Have written automated tests with any of the frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, AVA, Karma etc.
• Able to use CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, GitLab, Jenkins etc. and create workflows and pipelines to release to production every other day.
• Good understanding of how a browser parses and renders a web page.
• Understand HTTP requests, Restful APIs and web applications.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud computing platform and being able to leverage its various services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, EKS, ECS etc.

Good-to-haves

• Early or mid-stage startup experience
• Eager to work in a flat organization with no corporate politics
• Positive energy with a get-it-done attitude.
• Worked in a remote environment and high trust and high responsibility role
• Working knowledge of build systems like Gradle, Maven, Bazel, Webpack etc.
• Understand databases, RDMS, and work with SQL

• Overall 4 years development experience with 2+ years of professional experience working with React Native
• An understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them.
• Experience with popular React Native workflows such as Redux and ESLint, Jest, Enzyme.
• Experience with Agile development, scrum.
