Location: Remote/Work From Home 

What you'll be doing: 

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code in Node.js for back-end services. 
• Ensuring optimal and high-performance code logic for the data from/to the database. 
• Collaborating with front-end developers on the integrations. 
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions. 
• Preparing technical specification documents for the developed features. 
• Providing technical recommendations and suggesting improvements to the product. 
• Writing unit test cases for APIs. 
• Documenting code standards and practicing it. 
• Staying updated on the advancements in the field of Node.js development. 
• Should be open to new challenges and be comfortable in taking up new exploration tasks. 

Skills: 

• 3-5 years of strong proficiency in Node.js and its core principles. 
• Experience in test-driven development. 
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is required 
• Experience with MySQL database 
• RESTful/GraphQL API design and development 
• Docker and AWS experience is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, PHP, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks. 
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. 
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude 
• Experience with a version control system like Git 
• Knowledge about the Software Development Life Cycle Model, secure development best practices and standards, source control, code review, build and deployment, continuous integration

Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring

Boot.

● Create and optimize SQL database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL to ensure efficient

data storage and retrieval.

● Implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend

components.

● Configure and manage Nginx web servers to efficiently handle incoming requests and improve

application performance.

● Deploy and manage applications on AWS or GCP, ensuring scalability, reliability, and

security.

● Configure and optimize message broker systems using Kafka for real-time data processing

and communication.

● Containerize applications using Docker for easy deployment, scaling, and management.

● Create detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and High-Level Designs (HLDs) to guide the

development and architecture of backend systems.

● Automating CI/CD pipelines and streamlining the software development lifecycle.

● Integrate AI/ML models into backend workflows using Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, or

third-party AI APIs.

● Leverage AI tools (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, AWS AI services) to build intelligent

features.

● Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, data scientists, and other

stakeholders to deliver high-quality AI-powered solutions.

● Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and

uptime.

What We’re Looking For:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

● 3-5 years of experience in backend development.

● Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, SQL, and GitActions.

● Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.

● Experience with configuring and optimizing Nginx web servers.

● Experience with configuring and optimizing Kafka service.

● Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.

● Familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration.

● Ability to create comprehensive Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and High-Level Designs (HLDs)

for backend systems.

● Experience with Python for AI/ML model integration in backend services.

● Familiarity with AI platforms and APIs such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, AWS AI/ML, or GCP

Vertex AI.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Knowledge of microservices architecture and related technologies.

● Experience with cloud-native development and serverless computing.

● Understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
2. Experience in Agile development using JIRA, GIT,  Confluence.
3. 3+ years of Experience in  node.js + Express.
4. Experience in profiling, debugging & troubleshooting Node.js processes.
5. Strong Experience as a backend developer for REST API design.
6. Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQLdatabases like  PostgreSQL / MySQL or MongoDB
7. Understanding accessibility and security compliance
8. Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
9. User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.

• Working with the product team to develop new features focused on improving the user experience
• Improving existing features and working on streamlining client implementations through improved tools
• Improving our technical architecture and building out a continuous integration pipeline
• Modernizing our front-end in new frameworks
• Everything else - our team is small and you'll likely be involved in almost every tech-related thing going on

• 1+ years of experience building consumer-facing web apps
