Ruby on Rails Developer

hiring for the position of Backend Developer / Senior Backend Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.

Your primary focus will be the development of all server side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

We are looking to recruit a candidate for a role that will require:

• Create and consume restful APIs
• Design, develop, and maintain internal and external applications
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable modules
• Write high quality, structured application/interface code and documentation
• Identify solutions through research and collaboration that resolves the root of problems as they arise
• Define functional and technical requirements for application software to develop skills and knowledge
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

Requirement

∙ Proficient in Node.JS

∙ 2+ years’ experience designing, querying, and updating databases in MySQL/nosql 

∙ Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

∙ Good to have knowledge of AWS, Redis, ElasticSearch

Education: Min. Graduate in related discipline

Profile - Ruby On Rails Developer 

Experience - 1 year to 8 years

Location - Indore | Full time | Onsite 

• Designing and developing Ruby on Rails web applications/webservices in an agile environment

• Implement AJAX features and functionality using Javascript Integrate and optimise HTML/CSS front-ends Solid experience with RoR, MySQL/Cassandra, Shell Scripting Strong experience in Angular, Javascript, HTML/CSS and web services
• Working experience in using Jquery and D3 Experience in converting UI/UX design to HTML elements/assets
• Experience with SCRUM or equivalent Agile development methodologies
• A good understanding of usability and accessibility, including coding to WAI standards

• Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications.

• Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code.
• Integrating data storage solutions.
• Creating back-end components.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.

Ruby on Rails Developer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Must have more than 6 months+ in depth experience in Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with ruby on rails as well as libraries like Resque and RSpec.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming
• Ability to write clean ruby code.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial.
• Understanding of web services technologies such as REST is required.
• Good experience and understanding of continuous integration and deployment process.
• Knowledge in working with AWS or other cloud platform
• Experience in working with limited direction while exceeding delivery expectations.
• Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS.
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of server-side templating languages including Slim and Liquid.
• Familiarity with testing tools.
• Interest in learning new technologies
