PHP Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead who can drive the development of high-performance, scalable products while contributing hands-on to coding, architecture, and system design. You will work closely with a small engineering team, guiding them in technology decisions, quality delivery, and best practices while also taking ownership of key modules yourself.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development from design to deployment.
• Act as both a technical contributor and mentor within a small, agile team.
• Architect scalable, robust, and secure backend and frontend systems.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Node.js and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React.js for frontend development.
• Knowledge of Go (Golang) is a strong advantage.

• Experience with deployment using:
• Docker, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration tools

We are looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with at least 3-years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side applications and building scalable applications using Node.js. It is a WFH/Remote, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Node.js
• Build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code
• Write unit and integration tests for all code changes
• Developing and maintaining all server-side network components
• Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in the application codebase
• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and/or developing applications using node.js
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
• Strong experience with ExpressJS or Restify frameworks
• Very well understanding of Javascript, Browsers, real time communication
• Experience with ReactJS & MongoDB is a plus
• Strong fundamentals in OOPS, Data structured and Design Patterns
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Proven working experience in backend app development and experience with Node JS.  
• Build advanced ecommerce backend applications for the multiple client platforms (both React and Android).  
• Understanding of design principles and good architecture patterns.  
• Proper Data Structures and Algorithm knowledge is a must.  

• Graph QL and Apollo Server knowledge.  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs like the one of Unicommerce.  
• Create Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.  
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.  
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.  

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.  
• Have a good understanding of CI/CD tools (any).  
• Robust knowledge of popular databases like MongoDB, Elastic Search, DynamoDB, Redis etc;  
• Knowledge about AWS Services like EC2, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, S3 is super plus.

• 5-7 years of web application and web site development with Drupal (corporate web sites, ecommerce sites, portals, mobile sites).
• 4+ years managing web application projects.
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
• Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) React preferred
• Experience writing semantic, responsive HTML.
• Experience writing object-oriented PHP.
• Experience implementing web solutions in Drupal and PHP.
• Experience with Drupal’s theme layer.
• Experience with Drupal’s module system and experience writing or extending modules.
• Experience with Drupal’s Migrate framework.
• Experience with Drupal JavaScript behaviors.
• Experience with Acquia provided tooling and development workflows for Drupal 8/9 preferred.
• Experience implementing, accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
