Job Description:

As a MERN Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Postgresql, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack. You will work closely with our product and design teams to build high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications using the MERN stack.
• API Development and Integration: Create and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Database Management: Design and manage databases using MongoDB.
• Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Implement unit tests and integration tests.
• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality products.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements for existing applications.
• Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of latest trends and technologies in web development.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-4 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Technical Skills:
• PostgreSQL: Proficient in database design, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Express.js: Solid experience in building and managing APIs and middleware.
• React: Strong knowledge of React and related libraries (Redux, React Router, etc.).
• Node.js: Expertise in server-side development and asynchronous programming.
• HTML/CSS: Proficient in web markup and responsive design.
• JavaScript/TypeScript: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and Git workflows.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience with Mongo DB as a Developer.
• Deploy and create MongoDB clusters with appropriate configuration once the machines are provisioned
• Be able to script, and have programming ability with MongoDB shell and/or other programming languages
• Configure and monitor replica sets and Sharded Clusters
• Ability and experience in working with applications that work with MongoDB such as Java, Node.js and/or others
• Experience with MongoDB security, managing roles and permissions
• Experience with MongoDB backups and restores, manually and using MongoDB and other tools
• Knowledge and experience in working with MongoDB Ops Manager and/or Cloud manager
• Knowledge and/or experience working with MongoDB Atlas

• Experience with ORM tools such as spring data is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Build scalable, service oriented web applications from scratch for technology products for European market.
• Maintain these applications for accuracy and high availability.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve system designs, architecture and implementation standards
• Participate with founding, business and product teams in discussions on how to build and launch new modules.
• Collaborate across functions and own the planning, estimation and execution for parts of the product.
• Start as an individual contributor but stay ready to build and mentor a small team of up to 5 engineers over the coming months and years.
• Contribute in hiring highly ambitious engineers as the team grows.

Requirements:

• Experience of architecting and building products/business critical backend applications using different MVC frameworks.
• Experience with microservices.
• Experience of building and maintaining scalable applications using Node.js/MEAN stack.
• Experience of deploying and maintaining web applications.
• Experience with non relational databases like MongoDB.
• Understanding of relational databases like MySQL.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and stress testing tools.
• Good communication skills.

• Exposure in building polyglot applications.
• Exposure for devops and related processes, preferably GCP.
• Knowledge of components in scalable solutions i. e. database partitions, message brokers, background processing.
• Exposure to basic frontend technologies to speed up collaboration with the frontend team.

Your responsibilities: 

• Understand the business context and build high quality code using proven design patterns Develop, test and deploy integrations required to meet business requirements 
• Carry out unit tests and other quality control mechanisms to inform and validate the code and design 
• Utilizing and monitoring cloud infrastructure resources (such as AWS, Azure) efficiently 
• Participate in a highly fluid environment applying agile software development principles 
• Ensure the coding standards are on-par with the best in the industry 

Educational Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science).  

Must have skills: 

• 3+ years of work experience with mobile/web development 
• Experience in working with either of languages: Go, Java, Scala 
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) 
• Strong understanding of Message brokers 
• Must have hands on experience in Restful APIs 
• Must have a strong foundation of Data structures and Algorithms 
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems 
• Ability to deploy features on a daily basis: should be good at time management and prioritization 
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD principles and TDD 
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
