What Will You Work On?
You will join the game studio team within AutoVRse, helping build District M, a VR, rhythm-based platformer, a first-of-its-kind for an indie studio out of India. As a core part of this team, you will play an instrumental role in creating this game and ushering in the next era of immersive gaming.
- We launched a free demo on Oculus Applab, and a lot of content creators/gamers are in love with it!
- Our official game trailer was featured in the UploadVR Summer Showcase, 2022 - earlier this year.
- We've recently become a part of the "PlayStation Partner" program and will soon be working on making our game accessible across VR platforms.
As a Game Developer, you will work closely with the design and production art teams to create mechanics and components that are a core part of the gameplay. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills, who have a passion for gaming and are excited to create diverse, impactful and memorable experiences for our user base. Your enthusiasm to take on new problems is what will help us push the boundaries of what is possible in VR games today.
What Can You Look Forward To?
- Build multi-platform VR games (starting with District M), for - Meta Quest 2, PSVR etc.
- Ideating, and implementing game mechanics from a prototype stage to a fully polished game.
- Participate in the feature / mechanics-definition process, along with the Design and Art teams.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, production artists and level designers.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Working in and growing along with an ambitious, accelerating, early-stage game studio.
Mandatory Qualities:
1. Experience in game development workflows, engines, processes and tools.
2. Demonstrated ability of building polished mechanics and systems built with scalable code practices.
3. Thorough knowledge of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), Data Structures and Algos.
4. Basic idea of 3D Design concepts - modelling / geometry, texturing, lighting, maps etc.
Good-To-Haves:
1. Experience with Virtual Reality (VR), including but not limited to 3D Graphics, OpenGL et al.
2. Knowledge of VCS (Version-Control Systems) such as Git, Unity Collab / similar.
3. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Design Patterns, 3D Math, UI, Animation.
4. Knowledge of 3D Design Tools such as Blender, Substance Painter/Design, 3dsMax / Maya etc.
5. 1-2 years of game / VR development experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, C # et al.
Salary Range: ₹ 5,00,000 - 12,00,000 PER ANNUM
Job Description:
- Creating detailed inorganic and organic 3D models i.e. characters, props, layouts, machines, natural features and environments.
- Creating highly detailed textures.
- Doing rigging, organic and inorganic animations.
- Ensuring that artwork is optimised for Web browsers.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing high as well as low poly models.
- Must have an expert knowledge of Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, After effects.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D animations is a huge advantage.
- Good knowledge of lighting and technical details in Unity is a plus.
- Must be very creative and should have a keen eye for detail.
- Should be able to work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines without compromising on the quality.
As an Environment Concept Artist, your primary role is to develop the buildings and ingame environment that help the Art Director realize his vision. You will proactively contribute towards the improvement of environment aesthetics in the project and work closely with other artistic disciplines within the studio to ensure best practices are met.
You will need to be creatively flexible, adapting to the style as necessary and align the art direction of the project. You will also be required to create, and quality assure ingame assets adhere to game design briefs. You will track your status and update your progress/risks/issues daily, or at the point of identification.

Language preference: Good English speaker (B1-B2)
Responsibilities:
• You will use your artistic judgment to produce a high-quality environment
and build designs for games with excellent rendering skills.
• In some cases, you will follow existing detailed concept art, in other cases, you will create an environment and buildings from scratch that match the general art direction.
• You will work closely with artistic leadership to create an exciting
environment for the game.

Skills & Requirements
• At least three years of professional games or animation industry
experience working as an environment concept artist or
layout/background designer
• A portfolio demonstrating various environments and building design work

• Specialize in Disney or feature animation style Understanding design,
architectural, appeal, and have a solid color sense
• Able to create buildings and environment in ISO view for the project
• Experience with and appreciation for casual game aesthetics
• Expert knowledge of industry-standard software such as Photoshop,
Painter, Procreate, and Maya
• Requiring basic knowledge of Unity and 3D is a plus

As a UI/UX Artist, you will be working on the overall user experience of the game in all aspects and phases of production, you propose solutions to translate game design requirements into usable and memorable graphical user interfaces
What do you need to do? (Role and Responsibilities)
- You will work closely with the Product Managers and Game Designers to create clean, clutter-free, user-centric, trendy and easy to understand user interfaces (UI) for mobile games.
- You need to be dedicated to researching and playing hundreds of mobile games to understand best practices in the Industry.
- Work on the UI design (Flows, Menus and HUDs) as per requirements.
- Explore and create high fidelity mockups and then the individual graphical elements needed for mobile screens, including iconography.
- Create wireframes or modify existing screen flows based on design specifications or feedback.
- Apply and maintain a consistent look and feel throughout the UI.
- Ability to make design decisions and take on design problems independently, present and sell design concepts.
Who could you be? Background and Experience:
- You should have a background in graphic design/interaction design/HCI related areas. You should have at least 4-5 years of experience in mobile games/apps.
- At least shipped 5 apps/games as an UI/UX Artist.
- You are proficient with prototyping tools such as Axure, Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator or other software for creating flowcharts, wireframes and Final UI Design mock-ups.
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of Unity 3D is a plus.
- Strong foundational graphic design skills (colour theory, composition, typography etc).
- Possess an excellent understanding of visual design principles, style guidelines, design processes, and creative workflow.
- Bring art to life while improving the UX with visuals.
