Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4–5 years of solid UI/UX design experience, with a strong and diverse portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking.

Role Overview:

As Product Designer at Marbles Health, you'll own the end-to-end design of our product experience from early strategy and user research through to final UI execution. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to influence not just how the product looks, but how it works and why.

This isn't a role for someone whose first instinct is only "I can make this look pretty."

What You'll Do

• Lead UX strategy for key product areas - translating user needs, business goals, and clinical/health considerations into clear design direction.
• Design end-to-end user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile experiences.
• Conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) to validate design decisions.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system/component library in collaboration with engineering.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers from ideation through shipping — you're in the room for strategy, not just execution.

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, ideally in a consumer app, health tech, or fintech environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking (flows, research, problem-framing) and high-quality UI execution.
• Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and familiarity with prototyping tools.
• Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
• Comfort working with ambiguity - you can turn a loosely defined problem into a structured design process.
• Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), especially relevant in health products used by diverse populations.
• Strong communication skills, able to justify design decisions with reasoning, not just aesthetics.
• Bonus: prior experience in health tech, wellness, or a regulated/trust-sensitive consumer category.

Nice to Have

• Experience running or contributing to a formal design system.
• Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS (to collaborate more fluidly with engineering).
• Exposure to behavioral design principles (habit formation, nudges) relevant to health engagement.

We're hiring our first Product Designer.

Candidly — the hardest design problem we have is trust. A technician needs to feel comfortable letting an AI make changes in a customer's Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. A few examples:

2. How MSP teams see what Neels has learnt about their clients — where each fact came from, and how to undo it.

5. A lean design system, so our engineers can ship consistent UI without waiting on you.

What we're looking for

• Great product design work that you've actually shipped. Consumer or B2B doesn't matter — we care a lot more about how you think than where you've worked.
• Strong craft. Simple, clean and fast over flashy — think Linear, not a design studio website :)
• Comfortable going deep on a complex domain. You'll need to learn how things like Microsoft 365 groups and licences work.
• You move fast — prototype in code or with AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) and get it in front of users.
• High ownership and clear writing. You can take a messy problem all the way to something shipped.

Nice to have

• Designed AI / agent products before.
• Some background in IT, DevOps or security tools.
