Location: Hyderabad (Remote after 3 months WFO)

An 8-year-old IT Services and consulting company based in Hyderabad providing services in maximizing product value while delivering rapid incremental innovation, possessing extensive SaaS company M&A experience including 20+ closed transactions on both the buy and sell sides. They have over 100 employees and looking to grow the team.

• 6 plus years of experience as a Python developer.
• Experience in web development using Python and Django Framework.
• Experience in Data Analysis and Data Science using Pandas, Numpy and Scifi-Kit - (GTH)
• Experience in developing User Interface using HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Experience in server-side templating languages including Jinja 2 and Mako
• Knowledge into Kafka and RabitMQ (GTH)
• Experience into Docker, Git and AWS
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single system.
• Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required.
• DB (MySQL, Postgress, SQL)

Selection Process: 2-3 Interview rounds (Tech, VP, Client)

Required Skills:

● Expert in Python, with knowledge of at least Django (More web frameworks are a plus)

● Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries

● Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

● Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture

● Good understanding of server-side templating languages (such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc depending on your technology stack)

● Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (is a plus)

● Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

● Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

● Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

● Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python

● Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform

● Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes

● Strong unit test and debugging skills

● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

● Knowledge of application deployment process and server set up

● Integration of data storage solutions

Responsibilities:

● Owning one or more of the web services; adding new features, resolving bugs, and refactoring/ improving code base.

● Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

● Translating product requirements into functional, maintainable, extensible software that is in-line with company objectives.

● Good knowledge of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, troubleshooting, & agile development.

● Work on cutting-edge web technologies to make a powerful impact on 1M+ enterprise users

● Be part of a growing team that will design, develop, and test software and cross-product applications which span across different Planview products

● Work in an agile engineering team writing maintainable and scalable code for software components and influencing team decisions

● Contribute to the product’s architecture vision and execution, working closely with cross-product teams and other leaders within the R&D department

● Collaborate with stakeholders to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch software that impacts our customers and inspires your peers

● Drive continuous improvement of software quality, CX and maintainability of features

● Continuous learning of technology trends, tools, and approaches, including sharing this knowledge with your team

• Minimum of 1+ years PHP web development experience
• As a PHP developer your duties would primarily consist of developing new projects built using PHP-based frameworks/platforms, writing custom code, and architect new solutions for prospective clients.
• Expert with PHP object-oriented programming & MVC applications
• Familiarity with automated deployment strategies
• Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer

• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Write all clean object-oriented PHP as well as efficient SQL
• Integrate features and improvements that can support our large-and-growing SAAS product.
• Take initiative and contribute to technical solutions, R&D.
• Contribute to internal tools/processes that help us manage the product and QA cycle
• Perform Unit testing.

Skills:

• Must require solid programming proficiency with Core PHP.
• Strong knowledge of OOPS and how to apply it in application code is a must.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages.
• Exposure to designing and building APIs (REST/HTTP/Soap) is highly preferred.
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Experience with any MVC framework is an added advantage.
• Proficient understanding of software testing
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket, Git is an advantage
• Understanding of product development environments and methodologies like Agile highly preferred
• Good problem-solving skills.

Desired Profile:

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience developing web applications and understanding modern PHP standards.
• The candidate should be willing to work with a startup/mid-size company.
• The candidate must love to code and must possess a thorough knowledge of web technologies.
