Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our growing team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python development, building scalable backend systems, and working with databases and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs
• Work with frameworks such as Django / Flask / FastAPI
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and project managers
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices
• Work with databases and ensure data security and integrity
• Deploy and maintain applications in staging/production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in Python development
• Strong experience with Django / Flask / FastAPI
• Good understanding of REST APIs
• Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Knowledge of OOP concepts and design principles
• Experience with Linux-based environments
• Understanding of basic security and performance optimization
• AI tool integration: GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor, AIDE, etc
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Good to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with AWS / cloud services
• Knowledge of Docker / CI-CD pipelines
• Good level understanding of prompt engineering
• Exposure to Microservices Architecture

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable .NET applications and microservices supporting core 

retail operations.

• Build and maintain robust integrations using Kafka, REST APIs, and middleware 

components.

• Work closely with product, POS, merchandising, warehousing, and ERP teams to translate 

business needs into reliable technical solutions.

• Optimize system performance and ensure integrations remain stable across high-volume 

retail cycles.

• Implement best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.

• Troubleshoot production issues with speed and a cool head—especially when it impacts 

stores.

• Document technical designs, data flows, and integration contracts clearly.

Required Skills & Experience 

• 6–8+ years of hands-on full stack development using .NET Core / .NET 6+, C#, and 

modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular preferred).

• Strong expertise in Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, partitions, schema registry).

• Solid experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems.

• Prior experience in retail technology is non-negotiable—POS, inventory, warehousing, or 

ERP exposure is essential.

• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and caching 

frameworks.

• Experience building scalable, distributed systems that can handle peak loads.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on a contract basis.

Nice to Have 

• Experience with message brokers beyond Kafka (e.g., RabbitMQ)

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

• Understanding of retail data models and omnichannel workflows

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for building high-quality solutions. The role requires hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable and high-performance mobile applications (company is looking for an employee to build a chat application from scratch)

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

2. Experience in developing applications using Java, and Javascript.

3. Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies

4. Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

5. Experience with database design and management, particularly with MongoDB

6. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

7. Strong communication and teamwork skills

3 - 5 Years of experience, in that min 2 years of experience with PHP MVC frameworks like

Laravel(preferred), CodeIgniter, etc.

Strong Experience in PHP and MySQL and their declarative query languages

Understanding the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP

Strong experience in JavaScript and good to have working knowledge on any JS frameworks like Angular (Preferred) React, Python etc. - Understanding of MVC design patterns

Good understanding of front-end technologies JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, HTML, and CSS3

Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming

Understanding accessibility and security compliance

Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Basic knowledge of AWS and Shell command

• 4+ years of experience in building web applications using React, Node.js, GraphQL integrations with NoSQL or relational database systems.
• Working experience in building and deployment applications on AWS platform a plus.
• Working experience on docker and microservice a plus.
• Strong experience with Build and Release, Agile processes and Estimation/Planning
• Must have strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with solid understanding of logging and exception handling.
