MEAN/MERN Stack Developer

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable backend applications. 
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) 
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices. 
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects. 
• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical problems. 
• Identify and implement performance optimizations. 
• Participate in code reviews 
• Hands-on experience with Springboot, Java 8 and above. 
• 5-7 years of experience developing Java applications. 
• Knowledge about at least one messaging system like Kafka, RabbitMQ etc. 
• Required React developer requirements, qualifications & skills: 
• Proficiency in React.js and its core principles 
• Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 skills 
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux) 
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. 
• Experience with design patterns and best practices for Java development. 
• Proficient in unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit). 
• Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle). 
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). 
• Experience with one of these databases – Postgres, MongoDb, Cassandra 
• Knowledge on Retail or OMS is a plus. 
• Experienced in containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps mindset 
• Ability to reverse engineer existing/legacy and document findings on confluence. 
• Create automated tests for unit, integration, regression, performance, and functional testing, to meet established expectations and acceptance criteria.

Job Description:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with proficiency in Python and/or Golang.
• Strong experience in front-end technologies, particularly React.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward tackling challenges

Must be very strong in UI framework (Angular) 

·        Good understanding of core JavaScript and OOJS concepts.

·        Working experience in Web services (SOAP/Restful) integration, failure analysis etc...

·        Hands-on development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS 3, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap, Angular.

·        Full stack development experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API.

• Strong engineering background preferably in Computer Science

Desired Profile

 Feasibility assessments – Outline Risks , Design , Effort / Cost Estimate.

 Analyse, design, document, and agree - Solutions to meet requirements / timelines.

 Produce refined estimates of effort, time, resource, and costs for work requests.

 Work effectively with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.

 Develop code, perform peer code reviews, and complete integration tests.

 Ensure delivery of high quality, fit-for-purpose solutions – Follow software development & architectural principals.

 Ensure all solutions maintain the integrity of data throughout capture, processing, and storage.

 Engage with the various testing teams, facilitating systems Test, UAT & other test phases.

 Ensure all software changes are prepared for deployment into PRODUCTION, following CPP’s change control processes.

 Provide regular development progress reports to key stakeholders as necessary.

 Maintain effective documentation and share expertise with colleagues to eliminate single points of expertise within the team.

 Research the external environment, and where appropriate identify and recommend external partners for the delivery of best in class technologies suitable for CPP applications.

 Understanding the use cases (and/or user stories) in order to oversee the design of the architecture for the products to be built.

Skills:

Significant “hands on” software development/support experience gained in a commercial environment with React & Node.

Demonstrable knowledge of Postgres database technology.

Proven experience of using automated test tools/frameworks (e.g. Spock, Selenium, JEB) and Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Hudson, Jenkins).

Experience in a range of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile/SCRUM, Waterfall, DevOps) and secure coding standards (e.g. OWASP).

Knowledge of payment processing regulations (PCI-DSS) and security standards (ISO 27001).

Knowledge of other software development tools (e.g. Stash, Jira, Git).

 Degree in a relevant IT discipline, or equivalent experience gained in a relevant industry

• Track record of delivering various features in large-scale applications or core systems with at least 5 years of experience. If you've written code in big data applications handling multitudes of data or real-time events, you're in.
• Experience writing multi-component systems or micro-services, with architectures requiring efficient inter-application communication. If you know what Kafka is, and think it's the bee's knees, we will think the same of you.
• Experience writing in a high-level language such as Go, C, Rust, Python, Ruby, etc.. If you're already writing Go, or spent a weekend debugging the worse memory leak ever, that's a big plus.
• Experience writing APIs (either RESTful or not) and RPCs. If you've broken backwards compatibility for your customers once, and dealt with the fallout, we want you (to deal with the fallout again).
• Experience with RDBMS systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Couchbase). If you've written queries with more than two joins, or have a strong opinion of why an integer is better as a primary key (or maybe a UUID), we'd like to hear from you.
• Experience with container platforms and orchestrators such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift is a plus. If you can name one way in which a container is different than a regular process, you're golden.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The candidate should have good experience in React & Node. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Produce high-quality code and experience with security implementations Identifying application security risks and Implementing security patches procedures.
• Stronghold on MongoDB and experience on other No SQL databases.
• Experience with Graph, Payment Gateway, Node.js process management, and web sockets like socket.io
