Role: Embedded Software Developer

Description:

1. Must be B.E./B.Tech./MTech. in Computer Science, IT or related software engineering degree.
2. Must have 3 to 7 years’ experience with strong experience of C system programming in embedded environment.
3. Must have relevant experience of IMS or Telephony domain.
4. Must have excellent S/W design Skills with proven experience of writing efficient code for embedded environment. 
5. Must have experience of Linux or RTOS S/W design programming.
6. Must have excellent debugging skills, good experience on analyzing network protocol Logs.
7. Must be conversant with embedded development tools, debuggers, Network protocol analyzers like Wireshark etc.
8. Must have hands-on experience & understanding of S/W Management Processes: Source Code Management, Unit/Integration Testing, Branch management, Feature Configuration etc.
9. Preferred to have experience on 4G/5G wireless protocol stack or WLAN SW development.
10. Preferred to have worked on Android based Smart Phone or embedded M2M/IOT projects .
11. Preferred to be from leading telecommunication, semiconductor or electronics ODM/OEM company background.
12. Strong Communication skills, Self-driven, Positive attitude & hardworking. 

Requirements:

• Very good programming knowledge in C/C++
• Experience in Multi-threaded software development
• Understanding of operating systems concepts, system performance, and optimization
• Familiar with working in an Embedded Linux development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving/debugging skills, design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging
• Knowledge of embedded tools like emulators, linkers, makefiles, etc
• Experience in voice applications development, preferably on client/server platforms
• Knowledge of RTOS programming will be added advantage.
• Understanding of different processors. microcontrollers architectures.
• Familiarity with development tools such as GCC, GDB, Eclipse, GNU Make, etc

Primary skills:

At least 3+ years of working experience on embedded firmware development

- Experience in multithreaded programming, network programming (wired and wireless protocols), real-time programming, cross-platform and cross-language development

- Hands-on experience on driver development for various sensors

- Working knowledge of communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, etc

- Product development experience with range of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, adoption of bare-metal, RTOS and Linux operating systems on new platforms

-Hands-on experience on software development in Bluetooth domain is added advantage

- Experience with hardware lab equipment such as digital scope, logic analyser and JTAG

- Understanding of embedded development constraints and system performance

- Experience with programming in C/C++ and Embedded C

Build new features, enhance existing functionality and fix issues in the Windows Desktop application.

Help develop and maintain UI component library (Windows, dialogs , complex widgets)

Advise and assist the other developers in the Desktop.

Skills required

1. Very strong programming skills in UI development using Qt/C++
2. A strong ability to think about components and modules as they relate to other components as part of a larger system.
3. QML knowledge is a plus
4. Cross platform application development knowledge is a plus, not mandatory
5. A very strong attention to detail and the willingness to deliver pixel perfect UI according to the designs.
6. Must have: Very strong in ModelView architecture
7. Must have : In-depth C++, STL, and data structures knowledge

Desirable : Familiar with unit test frameworks like QtTest or Gtest

Desirable : Experienced with Agile methodology

Desirable : Knowledge in GIT or any other config management tool

Good understanding of object oriented techniques methodologies.

Good hands-on experience of C++ system programming and design.

• Hands-on embedded C skills (mandatory)
• Experience with any microcontrollers MCU (mandatory) – Renesas/ Infineon/ Cypress/ ST-Micro /TI / Microchip

• Experience with any RTOS – FreeRTOS, Azure RTOS, ThreadX

JOB ROLE: EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ENGINEER

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with multi-disciplinary engineering team and customer to identify and recommend hardware needs and requirements for project/product.
• Modify or assist in the development of software architecture and design for new products, prototype, or re-design, including sourcing build environments and writing technical support and control documentation.   
• Read Block Diagrams and detail circuit schematics and layout of proposed or existing hardware and assess the software and driver requirements.
• Participates in cross-divisional Edge IoT projects and/or proposals.
• Develop, oversee, and document automated tests for electrical hardware design and products as well as final operating drivers and systems.
• Evaluate and investigate product failures, and recommend repair or design modifications based on specifications, cost, resources, and risks.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to creatively approach challenges and cleverly solve difficult problems.
• Ability to independently identify daily design and customer support tasks, self-start and motivate.
• Ability to manage several projects and prioritize appropriately, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to learn and work in virtual environments (CAD & Hardware build packages) in-which candidate’s skills are low but persevere and overcome skill gaps autonomously.
• Some experience programming with embedded systems designs and multithreaded real-time operating systems is required.
• Solid programming experience. Preferably in C or C++, .NET, and Java programming languages.
