Job Description: Spring Boot Kafka Developer (Banking Domain)

Location: Bangalore, India

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Spring Boot Kafka Developer with a strong background in the banking domain to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications using Spring Boot and Kafka technologies. Your expertise in the banking industry will be invaluable as you contribute to innovative solutions that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Spring Boot applications using best practices and industry standards.
• Implement and optimize Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and other team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with other systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct unit testing and code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the Spring Boot and Kafka ecosystem.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Boot framework.
• In-depth understanding of Kafka concepts, including topics, partitions, producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Experience working in a banking domain, preferably with knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Roles and Responsibilities;-

• Include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
• Designing, developing and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems

Framework required – spring boot, Hibernate
Skills - Should have knowledge of JPA, js, Ajax

• 3+ year of experience in Development in JAVA technology.
• Strong Java Basics

Good to Have Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in using Java/J2EE tech stacks

• Designs, develops, and approves end-to-end functionality of a product line, platform, or infrastructure and microservices.
• Must have exposure to at least one cloud product/platform development.
• Working knowledge of any one client side framework like ReactJS or Angular, etc.
• Should have exposure to one or more databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Graph, Redis, Elastic Search and Postgres.

• Expertise in software design and development.
• Proficiency with at least one Object Oriented language(e. g. Java)
• Experience with building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems
• Experience with API Design, ability to architect and implement an intuitive customer and third-party integration story.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor the platform team at Checko.
• Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and craftsmanship of the team’s infrastructure and systems capable of handling massive amounts of requests with high reliability and scalability
• Leverage the deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership on resolving complex technology issues
• Entrepreneurial and out-of-box thinking essential for a technology startup
• Guide the team for unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Requirements

• Must have design, development, testing, deployment of systems capable of handling massive amounts of requests with high reliability and scalability
• Must have strong command in writing production-level code in Java or Python including skills in debugging, performance analysis/optimization and memory usage optimization
• Must have worked with real-time web/mobile applications and event-driven architectures
• Must have experience working with relational and non-relational databases and understanding their data models and performance tradeoffs.
• Must have solid engineering principles and a clear understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Should have knowledge of service-oriented architecture, caching techniques, micro-services, and distributed systems
• Should have basic understanding of C++/reactJS/Angular/Node
