Junior Test Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and implementing cutting-edge test automation frameworks, designing scalable automation components, and leading high-impact projects from inception to execution. You will work closely with engineering managers to define priorities, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Test Automation Leadership: Select and implement the best test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies to optimize testing efficiency across various projects.
• Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation components and libraries for scalability and maintainability.
• Project Execution: Lead end-to-end test automation initiatives, collaborating with engineering managers to define project scope, priorities, and execution strategies.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation, integrating them into our testing strategies.
• Quality Advocacy: Promote a culture of quality by leading initiatives focused on automation, testing best practices, and continuous learning.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Foster a collaborative work environment by ensuring clear communication, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and setting clear expectations.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python or similar programming languages (C#, Go, Bash, PowerShell are a plus).
• Hands-on experience with frontend automation tools like Selenium, WebdriverIO, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Expertise in API test automation using tools like Pytest or RestAssured.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases to design and execute test cases.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Familiarity with IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control systems, and Unix tools.
• Experience with mocking, service virtualization, and contract testing.
• Ability to work in Agile environments, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Preferred:

• AWS certifications.
• Experience with DevOps practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Create test plan and test cases

· Verify application for functionality

· Develop Test Automation for products

· Master the functionality of the product

· Work with Product managers to understand the product requirement & acceptance criteria

· Develop deep understanding of the architecture & implementation for the product

· Drive a culture of quality, technical curiosity, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making in the organization.

· Execute other Duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills and Abilities:

· 3 to 5 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer.

· Hands-on experience of programming concept such as OOPs in scripting languages like Java, .NET, Python and JavaScript.

· Candidate should have hands on experience of writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using various open-source testing libraries like, Cypress, REST Assured, Selenium, etc.

· Hands on experience with one or more querying languages such SQL (preferred) and No SQL databases (MongoDB).

· Hands on experience in automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such as Cypress, Postman, REST Assured, Ready API etc.

· Experience of working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM ,

· Hands on experience of working with continues integration tools such Jenkins, Circle CI.

· Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs using tools such as Jenkins.

· Hands on experience working with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit etc.

· Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies.

· Excellent verbal and written communication.

Job Description

As a technical writer, you will work on creating clear and concise guides for Testsigma customers, partners, and developers. You will be responsible for communicating complex information in an easily understood manner, without relying on jargon. Your role will involve collaborating with fellow writers and internal business partners (such as product managers, UI designers, and software development engineers) to strategize, participate in content development and quality governance efforts, and develop content for our ecosystem. 

Responsibilities

• Builds high-quality, rich technical content in easy-to-understand plain, clear and simple language.
• Develops a solid understanding of the product to try, code, test out and also simulate user’s behavior for videos.
• Works with design, product, and engineering team to create great documentation for all Testsigma products
• Don’t shy away from setting up the IDEs and debugging a few lines of the code.
• Be comfortable with handling shifting priorities and pivoting when required.
• Review content in terms of logical flow and completeness of document.
• Standardize documentation process across the organization

Requirements

• 1 year of Dev/Testing/Automation experience 
• Have an understanding of computer science or automation testing fundamentals.
• 2-4 years of experience in building technical documentation, API documents, or technical content for SaaS companies.
• Excellent skills in grammar, minimalist documentation design, and effective information architecture.
• Experience writing, editing, researching, and planning software documentation.
• Sound knowledge of version control (Git), software development lifecycle, DevOps(Jenkins), and testing practices.
• Comfortable with IDE’,, APIs, programming languages(any) to understand the concepts and convert to user understandable formats.
• Experience using the Linux shell
• Be a team player - work with our world-class engineers to come up with creative and elegant documentation to help users with complex problems.

• Managing the solving of problems concerning the test automation infrastructure
• Understand and maintain Test Automation Frameworks.
• Follow the coding standards and code walk through.
• Maintain Automation Standards and Processes documentation.
• Write automated test scripts under the direction of the Test Automation Lead.
• Ability to work independently on tasks / modules assigned related to automation
• Monitoring of and reporting on the progress of the test automation process
• Reporting on the quality of the test object
• Raise risks on time and provide alternate solutions to mitigate the risk
• Advice and support for the implementation of all types of tools

Requirements:
