Jr. Testing Engineer

We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Quality Assurance
Engineer (QAE). Should be an excellent individual contributor capable of understanding and
driving test execution with minimal help. Who can work towards understanding application
performance, functionality, and features to great depth enabling them to report issues, take
ownership and drive them to closure.

What will you be doing?
 Develop and execute automated tests and test plans
 Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of the products(API and App)
 Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
 Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
 Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
 Work with Engineering and product to understand the overall product requirements and
technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
 Ensure the highest quality product delivery with security.
 Evaluating and integrate open source and in house developed toolsets

What will you need ?
 Bachelor/Master degree in CS or related field from a reputed college
 2-6 years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
 Experience in manual testing for Application and APIs
 Experience in automation testing using available framework.
 Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks and tools
 Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test execution and reporting.
 Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical partners.
 Understanding & experience with software design pattern, restful APIs and microservice
architecture
 Prior experience in start-ups or health-tech will be a plus

Job Description

• Work as an Automation Engineer to ensure continuous delivery of the product.
• Create/Update the test environment, code and execute automated test scenarios.
• Execute functional tests and maintain test cases.
• Work with the quality, development and field teams to ensure product quality and usability.
• Monitor and track resolution of defects, and effectively communicate it in daily standup.
• Learn and use open source and cloud technologies as needed

 

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Desired experience range is 4 to 8 years
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
• Expertise in automation language, tool, and scripts such as Java, Selenium or TestCafe, Postman
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate & report software application issues.
• Preferable but not necessary knowledge of any one of the public Cloud platforms either AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
• Preferable but not necessary knowledge and/or experience of a Security product

Responsibilities ● Design and implement an automation solution framework based on system understanding and analysis of technology and system specifications. ● Develop appropriate automation test strategies and create automated test scripts, in coordination with the functional test strategy, including identifying data requirements and generate required test data subsequently. ● Execute automated functional, regression, and system tests for the core application and report test results and quality status accordingly. Update test cases as needed. ● Work on releases across teams and bridge the gaps. ● Work with customers to know their use cases and try to incorporate it in our internal environments. ● Train other QA personnel in test automation scripting. ● Coordinates with other teams to maintain the test environment. ● May perform other duties as assigned. Requirements ● 5 – 8 years core development experience as a Software Engineer. ● Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures. ● Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly.
