Role:
As the first QA hire at arcana, you will be responsible for setting up testing frameworks and leading QA for all our products and releases
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a QA framework. Automate parts of the framework wherever feasible.
- Develop and implement test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated)
- Track key QA metrics for product and maintain a process for logging bugs/issues and debugging them.
- Handle QA validations of UI, backend APIs, databases, SDK, and Performance.
Skill Set Required:
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a testing role at a platform/infrastructure software company
- Demonstrable Experience in using UI automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, etc. and automated API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Experience in Web testing, API testing, Mobile testing, and performance, security and usability testing
- Familiarity with test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)
Bonus:
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and distributed system design
- Experience with Solidity smart contract testing
- Prior software engineering experience
- Handled QA for open source projects

Role Description
Arcana is stack of services to help developers build more secure and privacy preserving apps.
We are looking to onboard a lead for our blockchain engineering team. At Arcana we are building our own sovereign EVM compatible chain with its own set of validators. Security, Scalability and Interoperability are the primary goals of the blockchain and we're looking to put together some of the best minds to achieve this. This is a full-time role and completely remote friendly.
Requirements
- Experience in managing a team of engineers for at least 2+ years.
- Must have significant experience with Geth (Go Ethereum) or equivalent blockchain nodes and p2p
- Must be proficient with Golang
- Deep understanding of Blockchain, Solidity, Assembly, and the EVM
- Experience in standard software practices including clean code, unit tests and CI/CD
- Knowledge of Rust, Javascript, Typescript or Node.js is a plus
- Active member of the dev community will be a plus (e.g. experience contributing to OSS or EIPs)
- Experience in leading and communicating with remote teams

At Arcana we are building a privacy centric decentralised data store that allows developers to build more secure and privacy preserving apps for their users.
We are looking to onboard an experienced Golang developer to work on the core protocol we are building. You must:
- Have 3+ years of development experience
- Have 3+ years of Golang development experience in production
- Have worked on distributed systems in production
- Have experience with Goroutine and channels
- Have experience with applied cryptography
- Write clean code and documentation
- Have clear bias for TDD
- Find Git very easy to use
- Have knowledge of Unix/Linux fundamentals - shell scripting, CLI tools etc.
- Have some knowledge of devops
- Have some blockchain experience
