Build distributed, highly available, and fault-tolerant applications using Java, Spring, Kafka, and other technologies

Build large-scale and highly available APIs, both internal and external

Build, deploy, release, and support applications in the early stages

Skills

Must have

Overall 10+ years of experience as a Java Developer

Core Java 10+ years

Good hands-on coding skills

Must have experience in investment banking-related projects

Should have working experience in Trading life cycle project

Spring framework 5+ years

Kafka or other messaging

Knowledge of key APIs: JPA, JTA, CDI, etc.

Knowledge of various design and architectural patterns

Understanding of microservices architecture

Containerization solutions (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

Building tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle)

Version Control (e.g. Git)

Continuous Integration systems (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins)

Experience in the finance industry and work with the Fintech community

Key roles:

·       Develop backend application with clean code practices foe the application

·       Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic

·       Troubleshoot and debug application

·       Gather and address technical and design requirements

·       Build reusable code and libraries for future user-facing

·       Communicate with other third-party team for collaborations

Skillset:

·       Core Java - Hands on experience with Jdk 11 and above

·       Experience with code hosting and collaboration tools like Bitbucket/Github/GitLab

·       Microservice architecture - Rest API calls, inter-service exception handling

·       Non-relational DB - MongoDB basic DB commands to insert, update, delete, find records and Indexing

·       Springboot framework - Spring Data JPA, ORM

·       Event driven architecture - Kafka

·       Tools like Postman, Jenkins, Doppler, IDE, MongoDB atlas

Qualifications:

·       UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization, B.Sc in Any Specialization, BCA in Any Specialization

• Java / JavaScript Developer Job Description (Minimum 2 years Experience in Java)
• Good in Core Java, Multithreading, J2EE, web services (REST, SOAP).
• In-depth knowledge on Java Script and object-oriented technique .
• Should be able to work independently
• Familiar on Front-end technologies like AngularJS or Node JS or Spring boot is a real Plus

Task:

• Design, implement and maintain Java application phases
• To take part in software and architectural development activities
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging
• Identifying production and non-production application issues
• Transforming requirements into stipulations
• Develop, test, implement and maintain application software
• Recommend changes to improve established Java application processes
• Develop technical designs for application development
• Develop application code for Java programs

• Minimum 7 years of experience with excellent Java development skills
• Demonstrable hands-on experience of delivering solutions in a JavaEE 6 environment

• Strong Java unit test skills
• Good experience in design patterns & design principles
• Experience with Webservices, PLSQL and SQL (Oracle 10g or above)
• Experience in Oops development with Core Java
• Desirable:
  • Experience with: Elastic Search, Smooks, Lucene, Jasper, Report
  • Domain driven design
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies: Casandra, Mongo DB
  • Experience with agile development practices (Eg Scrum) and continues integration environment
  • J2EE application and web containrs such as GlassFish, Jetty, Tomcat
  • CMMi-5 level process experience advantage

What you’ll do:

• Contribute to all phases of the Software development lifecycle

• Write well-designed testable, efficient code and complex code with Data Structure & Algorithms.

• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications on Java and RestAPI.

What you’ll bring:

• 2 year to 5 years of proven hands-on Software Development experience.

Your Qualifications:

 7 to 12 years of experience with majority as Java engineer

 Strong hands on experience on building application using technologies Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle.

 Experience in building Micro Services using Spring Boot / Go.

 Strong knowledge and experience with SQL queries and databases like Postgre SQL/Oracle.

 Strong knowledge and experience on Platform components such as Docker, Kubernetes and Service Mesh (Istio).

 Good knowledge of scripting languages (preferably Python and Bash)

 Familiarity with CI/CD environment (Jenkins).

 Experience on Observability stack such as ELK Stack, Prometheus & Grafana would be added advantage.

 Should have experience on Active MQ based async queuing system design and deployment.

 Strong experience of system design and implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.

 Familiarity with Hazelcast and Zk Solution would be a plus.

 Strong skills to write technical design documentation.

 Experience of leading a team as tech lead.

 Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

 Good communication skills with tech/non-tech people.

What You'll Do:

 Assigned to software development projects and/or system enhancements as tech lead.

 Be engaged in a whole process of development project (requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing/verification, deployment, operation/maintenance).

 Work closely with project manager and other engineers. Some of them are in different locations such as Japan and Singapore.

 Always improve the design quality, code quality, testing quality and system quality spontaneously. In addition, create such a culture in our team.

 Understand business needs and user behavior and develop solutions to those needs.

 Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our systems and propose system improvements.

 Guide and support less-experienced members as mentor and role model to improve the team productivity and achieve team’s goals together.

Better to Have:

 Familiarity with Telecom Service Provider’s Billing Ecosystem/BSS Systems.

 Familiarity with and experience on Cloud Native Technologies.

 Familiarity with Agile Software development process.

 Familiarity with and experience on Linux/Unix environment

 Work experience with a remote team

 Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, HipChat)

 Familiarity with source control system (Gitlab, SVN, etc.)
