Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Java (Fullstack) Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Back-end JAVA, Spring-boot, Spring Framework & Frontend Javascript, React or Angular with ability to salable high performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust backend services Develop, test & deploy scalable & robust back-end services using JAVA & Spring-boot
• Build responsive & user friendly front-end applications using modern Java-script framework with React
• or Angular
• Collaborate with architects & team members to design salable, maintainable & efficient systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for micro-services, API’s & cloud solutions.
• Implement & maintain Restful API for seamless integration.
• Write clean, efficient & res-usable code adhering to best practices
• Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations & debugging
• Work with cross functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers & QA team.
• Mentor junior developers & provide technical guidance.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 5 Years of experience in backend/ fullstack development
• Back-end - Core JAVA/JAVA8, Spring-boot, Spring Framework, Micro-services, Rest API’s, Kafka,
• Front-end - JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Typescript, Angular
• Database - MySQL

Preferred

• Experience with Batch writing, Application performance, Caches security, Web Security
• Experience working in fintech, payments, or high-scale production environments

• Experience in API development using Java will be a plus.

• Excellent knowledge and experience in writing testable, scalable, flexible, robust and efficient web applications using JavaEE 6/7 technologies, specifically, Spring core, Spring Boot Spring Data, spring batch and JPA
• Experience in successfully deploying Java-based applications in production and understanding load-balancing, authentication, and fault tolerance through Tom Cat.
• Experience in database modeling (MySQL/NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB)

• Knowledge of integrating with Ant, Maven, GIT and Shell scripting.
• Strong backend experience to develop Data Layer using at least one of the ORM frameworks like Hibernate, JPA etc.
• Strong RDBMS Skills and SQL skills. Experience in MySQL, Teradata and warehousing databases.

• Experience in Analytics frameworks and visualization products.

• Excellent knowledge and experience of Maven, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery with Jenkins.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a full stack developer who shall be responsible for implementation of software related projects of the firm. This will involve:

–        Understanding existing services of the Company, the requirements of the project and be able to build the back-end coding structure along with front end dashboard, UI / UX for the full project. The person should be capable of building flexible coding to incorporate various user requirements, carry out user acceptance testing, fix bugs within agreed timelines.

–        Dashboard Development: Swiftly conceptualizing, designing, and developing visually engaging and functional dashboards tailored to meet the firm's specific requirements within stringent timelines.

–        Collaborative Approach: Work closely with stakeholders’ other team members, to understand dashboard requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

–        API Integration: Explore and integrate dashboard APIs where applicable to enhance functionalities or enable custom integrations for a more comprehensive dashboard experience.

Key Skills Required

–      Front-end Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and expertise in UX/UI principles to enhance dashboard user interfaces and ensure responsiveness.

–      Backend Development: Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Node.js, etc.) and understanding of backend frameworks to facilitate data integration and backend functionalities for dashboards.

–      Strong SQL Skills: Ability to efficiently extract, manipulate, and analyze data using SQL queries from various databases to integrate into the dashboards.

–      Dashboard Development Experience: Prior experience in rapid dashboard development, including designing, developing, and deploying dashboards within accelerated timelines.

Our client is a rapid growth stage Edtech start-up focused on solving the teacher shortage crisis in the US education system using technology by bringing teachers to the classrooms and giving them access to the right tools to teach students in a highly engaging manner.

They have a development center in Mumbai and they are looking to scale up the teams in Pune and Bangalore as well.

What does the role entail:

● Lead User Stories and guide senior/software engineers in the development process

● Understand architecture principles, design patterns and implement them from architectural artifacts.

● Provide effort estimation of assigned work and be able to complete as per the estimations and timelines

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree preferably in Computer Science from a reputed engineering college.

10+ years of proven experience, with 2+ years of leading a team.

Very strong in hands-on coding.

8+ years of combined experience in JVM languages(Java, Scala, Kotlin, etc), any scripting language like python, relational and non-relational databases.

Very strong in system design. You should have designed and implemented large-scale Web applications or data systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
