Java Developer

LogiNext is looking for a technically savvy and experienced senior developer to lead development efforts. You will help the team grow in size and skills, optimizing their code while working on your own. You will design, and develop the products that exceed client expectations in terms of value and benefit. You will collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information.

You have hands-on experience in building secure, high-performing and scalable systems in Java. Your design intuition inclines towards usability, elegance and simplicity. You are biased towards open-source tools and existing frameworks. You have successfully shipped applications with beautiful front-end and intelligent backend. You have demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and development efforts for high-volume, low-latency applications for real-time event based systems Deliver high-availability and high-performance platform using microservices architecture Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in code, and devise solutions to production and non-production issues Keep an eye out for open source projects and technology trends that can be introduced in the products Transform business functionalities and production specifications into technical requirements and low level design Be hands-on, adopt a practical approach to software and technology Work with product management and other teams to build highly scalable products

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field 2+ years of design and development experience in scalable and distributed enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, JPA, Spring framework and RESTful web services Excellent coding skills in Java Experience in managing, implementing and optimizing big data stores such as MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch Experience in deploying applications and using various managed services provided by cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Experience in front-end technologies HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, AngularJS and D3.js is preferred Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design Proven ability to drive large scale projects with deep understanding of Agile SDLC, high collaboration and leadership

About the role

For this role, the candidate needs to be responsible to work with a team to develop web platforms, solutions,

applications, and interfaces. Create and maintain websites including e-commerce platforms and custom applications.

Provide support for the optimization effort of applications, with emphasis on improvements to application

performance and page loading times.

Responsibilities

• Design, and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support business priority for HCL the

Commerce application (formerly IBM Websphere Commerce)

• Collaborate with UX designers, business solutions, product owners, and data services teams to design and

discover functional, architectural, and quality requirements.

• Educate and promote the use of best practices, while designing principles and frameworks to resolve issues.

• Share domain and technical expertise providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers and team

members.

• Conduct design and code reviews of developed solutions and unit tests for optimization.

• Participate in the deployment process and architectural and design discussions with teams.

• Perform support for scheduled after-hours tasks related to maintenance, production, and nonproduction release

deployments.

Candidate requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science related field

2. Experience in WCS V7/ v8/v9, data model, contract, programming model, java, J2EE, Oracle DB/DB2, Linux/Shell

scripting, and JQuery.

3. Hands-on experience in WCS 9.x, 8.x, 7.x, versions

4. Strong Design and implementation experience in WebSphere Commerce 9.x,v8.x v7.x

5. Development Customization experience in SOLR.

6. Development-Integration with SOAP and REST services.

7. Working experience on any monitoring/observability tools, CICD pipelines like Jenkins, Solr and Performance

improvements.

8. Strong understanding of WebSphere commerce application architecture.

9. Experience in Integrating, designing and developing custom solutions within WebSphere Commerce.

10. Hands-on experience with utilizing various sub-systems of WebSphere Commerce Server (Catalog, Order,

Member, Payment).

11. Experience in working on different Business models of commerce (B2B, B2C, Extended sites).

Your Skills & Experience:

•1-8 Years experience of implementing commerce application on any eCommerce platform in last 3 years

• If you have not worked in eCommerce platform, we can still discuss with you if you are expert in Java/.Net and understand REST/SOAP webservices.

•Demonstrate proficiency in build and release management using CI/CD strategies (leveraging tools like Jenkins and DevOps practices), implement Mocha/Chai unit and functional test cases in order to reduce costs while ensuring quality

•Contributes to designing, implementing and documenting the build release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the applications

•Participates in technical walkthroughs/ code reviews of other team members’ components, test plans and results and help them with gaps

•Collaborate with architect to define implementation processes and quality gates and standards

•Identifies risks and issues, and help monitor them

•Guides the development of reference and resource materials

•Mentors developers in improving their platform knowledge and development skills

•Communicate technical design to the developers and help/guide them in the implementation

•Participates in Agile sprints

• Should have strong technical capabilities and functional knowledge in multiple PLM Modules.
