We’re laser-focused on delivering a world-class product again, and looking for an ambitious backend engineer to join our existing team of 9 engineers.

Some of the tech problems you get to work on as a backend engineer would be to build the backend for a modern spreadsheet experience from scratch, work on infra as code, write robust code that is fault-tolerant, work on performant code that adheres to SLOs set by the organization. 

About you:

● 3- 5 years of experience

● Expertise in the following areas ○ Java ○ HTTP Protocol

● You’ve heard of or worked with some of the following tech stacks/products

○ Spring

○ PostgreSQL

○ Redis ○ Docker

○ Message brokers

○ GitHub

● These non-functional areas are familiar to you

○ Performance

○ Debugging

○ Log management

Full stack software developer who enjoys solving complex problems

• Solid experience in.NET Core, SQL Server, and REACT (including REST)

• Experience in building cloud-native applications (Azure)

• Must be skilled at writing scalable, maintainable code

• Must have the ability to independently envision solutions and write clean code

• 5+ years of defining and implementing Application Architecture.

• Demonstrated experience with the .NET ecosystem (.NET Framework, ASP.NET, .NET Core)

• Demonstrated experience with front-end React, HTML and CSS Frameworks

• Experience building modern, scalable, reliable applications on the MS Azure cloud including services such as:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Involvement in the full software development life cycle within broadly defined parameters and

providing software solutions keeping into consideration, the software quality needs.

• Design and defining the interaction between the different component pieces.

• Write efficient code based on brief given by team lead.

• Fast prototyping of proof-of concept features / application based on brief.

• Develop and maintain new features on Java stack.

• Own the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application.

• Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.

• Work closely with the peers and Leads to develop the best technical design and approach for new

product development.

• Build software solutions for complex problems.

• Compliance with build/release and configuration management process.

• Responsibility to develop unit test cases for his/her project module.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND THAT A CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE WHEN APPLYING FOR

POSITION

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

• B.E./ B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science, Electronics or a related field.

• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment

• Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems

• Experience with databases (Oracle / Postgre) and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks

• Ability to learn new languages and technologies

• Excellent communication skills

• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

PREFERRED SKILLS

• BS/MS in Computer science preferred.

• Full project lifecycle experience.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Work with the architect in identifying modules, interfaces, functionality to be developed
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web application, addressing technical and design requirements
• Understand and implement heuristic algorithms as necessary
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Create and maintain upto date documentation 
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, architects,  designers and system administrators to identify and incorporate new features

• Proven work experience in Java as a Back-end developer
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

Fullstack Developer/Architect/Programmer:

1. 8-10 years experience as Developer/Programmer.
2. Should have an expertise in Core Java, Java & J2ee
3. Built MVC based Web Application Using JSP/Struts framework
4. Experience in Webservices-Restful
5. Experience in Application Servers like Tomcat and WebLogic
6. Good Knowledge of implementing JMS messaging services
7. Good knowledge of HTML5,CSS and JavaScript – Angular.js,Bootstrap, React.js
8. Should have skills in Spring 3.x, Hibernate, Weblogic 12c Implementation
