Requirements

• Proven experience in building and scaling production-grade systems and services.

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Prior experience in a fintech or high-scale product startup preferred.

A developer is responsible for several Java-related duties throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. The developer is required to create user information solutions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Java-based components and interfaces.

Job Summary :

      As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of software components all the way to production. In this position you will partner with our globally distributed cross-functional teams, product managers and other internal stakeholders. This position requires understanding business & technical requirements, designing clean solutions, implementing them and managing these systems. A key aspect of the role is to understand the digital commerce businesses part of KBX and implement technology systems that favourably align with business initiatives and requirements. The position will be evaluated in terms of the quality of the technology development, ongoing management of the systems and impact on business metrics.

• Regular communication with management on status and risks.

Basic Qualifications :

• Ability to understand business requirements and build technology solutions that factor in the business requirements completely
• Possess an extremely sound understanding of basic areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented, Databases.
• Excellent coding skills 
• Great problem solving skills and propensity to learn and develop tech talent.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science and years of Software Development experience

Preferred Qualifications :

• Understanding on Web programming is must; full stack experience would be a plus.
• Understanding on AWS Cloud Stack (EC2, Lambda, Dynamo DB, Aurora) would be a plus
• Knowledge of serverless development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Role & Responsibility

As a Backend Developer, You will be involved in all aspects of development playing a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and help develop best practices for future development. You will be working closely with Tech, Design and Quality team to build and launch the product.

• Code, develop, design and architect features related to the existing application. We expect you to own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship
• Design, implement and maintain highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
• Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and release products
• Take responsibility for performance and stability for all server functions
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Skills & Qualifications:

• At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, preferably from IITs/Top RECs
• 2-5 years of experience at cutting edge organizations or startups
• Extensive experience in a Java server-side software design and development
• Proficiency in the implementation of algorithms and the use of advanced data structures to solve problems in computing.
• Experience with e-business/e-commerce applications and business environment is a must
• Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus

Must have

• Good understanding of Java/J2EE and design patterns
• Strong knowledge of data structures and designing for performance, scalability and availability Knowledge in MongoDB and Web services
• Extensive use of Instruments and Shark to detect memory leaks and for performance optimization
• Good grasp of algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded programming
• Good to have - Python, NodeJS, Mysql, Redis, ElasticSearchGreat people skills!
• Able to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on management

Job brief

As an Application Developer at Bridgei2i, you will participate in development and implementation of custom projects and products of Bridgei2i in Business Intelligence Applications. The role includes working closely with lead, testers, project managers, designers. 

You are expected to develop prototypes of the system design and work with lead, backend developers, testers and project managers as appropriate throughout development cycle. You will be developing bug free, maintainable, scalable web applications.

Requirements

• Working knowledge in JavaScript, CSS and HTML, Java/J2EE
• Experience of 1 + year's atleast in application development 
• Possess good knowledge of object-oriented design and development (OOA/OOD), algorithm and data structure
• Basic knowledge of web services (SOAP & Restful)
• Basic knowledge of relation database, SQL
• Knowledge in any of one of UI frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, NPM, node.js, JQuery) , or Spring or Struts
