Required Skills:

• Exp. - 4-7 years
• Experience in Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience in developing enterprise-scale applications and systems. Should possess good architectural knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns.

• Proven experience in database technologies like NoSQL
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Security, Spring boot, and Hibernate framework.
• Working knowledge of developing Restful Micro services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
• Attend team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and put forward solutions to any issues.
• Ability to understand the Platform/domain of the business in detail & Ability to multi-task.
• Good communication and organizational skill

Our Java Platform team's tech stack is based on Java8 (Spring Boot) and RESTful web services. We typically build and deploy applications as cloud-native Kubernetes microservices and integrate with scalable technologies such as Kafka in Docker container environments. Our developers work in an agile process to efficiently deliver high value data driven applications and product packages.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology and Management, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Have experience working and strong understanding of object-oriented programing and cloud technologies
• End to end experience delivering production ready code with Java8, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and API libraries
• Strong experience with unit and integration testing of the Spring Boot APIs.
• Strong understanding and production experience of RESTful API's and microservice architecture.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases and NoSQL databases and experience with writing abstraction layers to communicate with the databases.

Nice to have's (but not required):

• Exposure to Kotlin or other JVM programming languages
• Strong understanding and production experience working with Docker container environments
• Strong understanding and production experience working with Kafka
• Cloud Environments: AWS, GCP or Azure

Responsibilities

1. Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
2. Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
3. Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
4. Support test and deployment of new products and features
5. Participate in code reviews

Skills & Qualifications

• 4-12 years of experience in Java Development.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication is a must. You may have to interact with clients directly.

• Technology agnostic approach is a must. Ready to adopt new technology and a faster learning curve.

• Writing scalable, maintainable and reusable code.

• Keen interest in SAAS based products and mobile applications.

• Experience working with Distributed Systems

• Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API Design Experience with Event-Driven Architecture, Multithreading

• Kafka iOS Experience with Event Sourcing Reactive and Functional

• Programming Strong understanding of best practices for creating/working with Microservices

• Experience implementing Message Brokers and Messaging subsystems(experience working with Kafka a strong plus)

• Be open-minded, creative, and self-critical; be collaborative and communicative

• Have experience with and curiosity about agile and lean philosophies

• Experience working with small teams to ship products to market

• Have experience developing full-service consumer, employee and business applications

What You’ll Do?  

We are seeking extremely smart & independent senior developers who are gung ho about building large scale systems that are going to have a big impact on millions of customers. You will:  

• Lead design and development of products working closely with business team 
• Independently own software components and co-own entire applications with a small group of fellow developers 
• Formally mentor junior software engineers on the team, reviewing design documents, (peer) reviewing code, providing design direction and guidance 
• Build performant, scalable, yet secure, enterprise ready back end architectures that can support millions of users in parallel 

• Establish strong engineering best practices and champion their adoption 

Who You Need To Be? 
 

• 4+ years’ experience in software product development and delivery 
• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering (preferably computer science or sister branches) from a reputed institute (preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes).  
• Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, algorithms and excellent problem-solving abilities. 
 

• All experience should be from good product development or e-commerce background. 
• Able to take ownership of working with atleast one of mobile or web app teams for complete integration with backend 
• Must have shown good stability in all your previous associations.  
• Skill set 

• Have strong backend knowledge and cloud development exposure 

• Proficiency in Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST API development 
• Worked with at least 1 RDBMS (Mysql preferred). NoSql is a plus. 
• Have used or are very hands-on with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle/Ant, Kafka, GIT/bitbucket in a very agile work place. 
• Writing high quality code which is made better by unit tests and integration tests is how you work 
• Comfortable with exploring proven open source tech stack like Grafana, Kibana, Jira, Prometheus, caches like Redis/Memcached, task queues like celery, to name a few 

• Knowledge of test driven development and AWS tech stack will be a good plus
