About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Computer Vision Engineer to join our autonomy and avionics team. The role involves developing, implementing, and validating computer vision models and algorithms and pipelines for UAVs operating in both GNSS-available and GNSS-denied environments.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in theory of deep learning and machine learning, strong understanding of electromagnetic spectrum, imaging fundamentals, camera principles, and mathematical concepts with hands-on experience in implementing these algorithms on embedded or real-time systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise AI Models
• Make custom CNNs/ modify existing CNNs to suit specific problems at hand
• Handle end-to-end training flow
• Implement end to end inference pipelines on standard PCs as well as on embedded systems
• Understand performance benchmarks and assess the accuracy and inference times
• Implement traditional image processing algorithms
• Factor the code to leverage underlying hardware architecture
• Prune the networks for efficiency
• Integrate the system within the application framework using C++
• Work closely with perception, controls, embedded software, and systems engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics, ECE, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in relevant area
• Strong understanding of: Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, AI-ML-DL fundamentals, Image processing, Camera Functioning
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience with MATLAB for algorithm development and validation.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments.
• Experience with Git version control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Camera, IMU Calibration and Synchronisation
• Experience with multi-sensor fusion.
• Experience working with NVIDIA devices
• Experience on FPGA will be an added advantage
• Full understanding of Git functionality
• Exposure to airborne software development processes and coding standards (e.g., MISRA C++).

Requirements:

• Very good programming knowledge in C/C++
• Experience in Multi-threaded software development
• Understanding of operating systems concepts, system performance, and optimization
• Familiar with working in an Embedded Linux development environment.

Desirable Skills:

3.Software development processes –A-SPICE V-cycle

4.Experience with development of control units for the automotive industry, especially experience with the development based on AUTOSTAR basic software.

5. Experience in the automotive industry according to common development and parameterization tools (i.e. Vector CANoe).

6.Knowledge of standards for safety-critical software (ISO 26262) is a plus.

Requirements:

6+ years of Embedded firmware development experience in C/C++

BLE/GPS/GSM/RTOS stack expertise

Hands-on experience with Lab equipment (VNA/RSA/MSO etc).

Testing environment setup using automation scripts and networking equipment, practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous

Familiar with Wireless/IoT network protocols and standards.

Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and serial communication.

Preferred experience with wearOS/TizenSuperior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

Bachelor/Masters's degree in electrical/electronic/communications engineering, information technology, physics, or a related field from

Tier 1 Tier 2 Engineering colleges only (IITs/NITs/IIITs/BITS etc. )

You Should Have

●       3+ year experience in embedded system design

EXPERIENCE: 1 to 3 years within automotive industry / software development.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, Debug simulink/stateflow models according to functional, technical requirements, MAAB guidelines.
• Derive software requirements from system level requirements and establish bi-directional traceability within the models and generated code.
• Generate Code from developed models, generate test vectors, automate tests and document code reviews, test results.
• Automate the data exchange flow between MATLAB models, excel sheets, code testing using m-scripts.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in model based development and testing using Mathwork Tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, autocode generation tools Embedded coder or TargetLink.
• Good understanding of the Automotive software development cycle and tool chains
• Should possess a good understanding of C coding, m-scripting, with good debugging and software testing skills.
• Experience in developing MATLAB/ Simulink models from scratch for automotive applications.

• Own & lead full cycle development: design, implementation, testing & debugging for an automotive product.
• Create conceptual system designs, assess risks, conduct design trade studies, and develop a product that meets feature requirements for integrating sensor, processing and software systems. 
• Lead innovative system development projects with responsibility for achievement of cost, schedule, and technical requirements, with an eye toward technology maturation, transition, and follow on work. 
• Generate comprehensive engineering documentation.
• Responsible for end-to-end system firmware development to include power management, boot loaders, scheduling, RTOS and /or bare metal implementations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems in embedded real-time systems.
• Source code development, review & maintenance (C/C++).
• Dive into & take ownership of critical design issues.
• Analyse & propose solutions for performance bottlenecks.
• Address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability. 
• Help build robust methodology and processes to deliver the technology to products. 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
