Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant with 5to10 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Management: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Record and reconcile journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in the general ledger.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in calculating and preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Audits and Reconciliation: Conduct internal audits, reconcile bank statements, and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5to10 years of professional experience in accounting or a related role.
• Certifications: CPA, CMA, or progress toward these certifications is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting financial data.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with financial audits or preparing audit schedules.

• Familiarity with financial modeling or process improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a product manager for the Smart Ship© Hub™ Digital platform, which enables teams to efficiently guide businesses to success across our Family of Maritime Apps (Vessel Monitoring, Crew Management, Condition Monitoring Voyage Performance, etc.).

We envision a central communication platform “Digital Twins” that matches and delivers the best Remote Vessel Performance systems to businesses when and where they need it to help them achieve their objectives as quickly as possible.

Our internal partners and customers include Engineering team, Analytics Team, Software Development and Product teams launching new features and teams working on business growth.

Work Experience

• 5 - 8 years Product Management experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Need to have 4+ years of software engineering or technical product/  experience.
• Enable, scale and optimize meaningful communications between Smart Ship Hub (SSH) and large businesses using SSH world-class IOT capabilities across multiple dashboards and Mobile Apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business partner teams who are equally as passionate about maritime businesses helping to grow the Smart Ship Hub product ecosystem.
• Champion the platform across SSH, identify significant opportunities, and drive product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
• Drive execution with quantitative and qualitative data on user behavior, platform stats and experimentation.
• Identify and break down complex business problems into solvable pieces that can be shipped iteratively.

3. ·Bidding on various portals like PPH/ GURU/ UPWORK / Freelancer and other relevant online platforms
4. · Handle the initial discussions and collect the strategic information about the prospects
5. ·Understand complex project requirements and prepare proposal /bid to generate leads
6. ·Continue prospect engagement and account management throughout the sales cycle until closure.
7. ·Independently collaborate with the technical team for presentation with prospects.
8. · Scout for new bidding platforms and websites to catch out the opportunities.
9. Skill & Experience Required
10. ·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of converting the prospect with good linguistic ability.
11. ·       Must have 1-3 years of experience in Web Development & Mobile Apps project acquisition and closure through the online bidding platforms.
12. ·       Experience with lead generation and prospect management via various online bidding platforms.
13. ·       Must have sound technical knowledge of advanced Web and Mobile technologies trending today.
14. ·       Lead generation through LinkedIn, database, and other social networks would be an added value.
15. ·       Ability to handle the sales independently or as part of a team.
16. Education: Degree/ any diploma

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• BA Workstream: Ability to understand the objectives and goals of the project, and to contribute to the development of the project plan through identifying BA scope of work, advocating approach, and methodologies.
• Create BA Work Packages: Ability to breakdown the BA Scope of Work into manageable work packages to support the overall delivery of the plan.
• Scope and document requirements: Ability to understand, capture, and model functional, non-functional (operational), and interface requirements for users of a system.
• Designing and enhancing Business Processes: Ability to create maps (or models) of workflows, services design, and customer journeys for the business, organization, system, or software. Process maps are created by eliciting new requirements as well as identifying existing functionalities and processes in an organization. Documenting behavior models using use cases, user experience design, storyboards, user profiles, and user stories.
• Analysis & estimation of solution options: Ability to undertake quality initiatives and measure them with the right metrics. Be able to develop meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Training &Communications: Work with learning and comms team to provide inputs on new functionality, enhancements, process changes, etc. to drive adoption
• Digital Capability: Having had experience in, or capability to, enable customer experiences through the use of digital technologies through placing the customer at the center of everything we do.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related fields
• Minimum 4+ years of work experience as a BA required in Software development projects
• Industry certification in Business Analysis like CBAP, Agile business analysis, etc.
• Prior experience or a background in software development.
• High attention to detail and work ethics which encourages accuracy
• Involvement in digital transformation or multi-system integration project
• Strong written and oral communication skills with IELTS ( or any other equivalent English proficiency score of 7 or above)
