Some of the tech problems you get to work on as a backend engineer would be to build the backend for a modern spreadsheet experience from scratch, work on infra as code, write robust code that is fault-tolerant, work on performant code that adheres to SLOs set by the organization.

About you:

● 3- 5 years of experience

● Expertise in the following areas ○ Java ○ HTTP Protocol

● You’ve heard of or worked with some of the following tech stacks/products ○ Spring ○ PostgreSQL ○ Redis ○ Docker ○ Message brokers ○ GitHub

● These non-functional areas are familiar to you ○ Performance ○ Debugging ○ Log management

Nice to have:

● Familiarity with AWS

What You'll do:

• 4+ years of experience building scalable backends using Nodejs
• In-depth knowledge of any framework of Nodejs (i.e. Express, Hapi, Koa.js)
• Hands on experience with developing REST APIs using Node.js and any of the above framework
• Should have experience with Socket.IO
• Familiar with oauth integration Social Networking API (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Google+)
• Good understanding of standard authentication systems such as OAuth2 and JWT
• Knowledge of server-side templating (e.g. Jade, Handlebars.js, etc.)
• Should have understanding of model, caching, async mechanisms
• Hands-on experience with implementing Role based User authentication and authorization system
• Understanding of caching, database interactions, middlewares
• Able to engineer the best performing solutions and always keeping scalability in mind

We are looking for Interns or 0-1 Year experienced person for our IoT Division based out of Bangalore. Option for Work from Home is also available.  


Qualification:

Any Graduate in Computer Science / Electronics / Information Science / Instrumentation from reputed institutions


Required Skills Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in Python with FastAPI must.
• 1+ years of experience in working with a database like PostgreSQL.
• Experience of working on any Linux based OS
• Experience of working on AWS
• Understanding of micro-services.
• Should be able to meet SLAs as per the priorities.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Desired Skills Experience:

• Knowledge of Python, Django Framework or REST API.
• Knowledge of Docker and Redis.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate is a plus.
• Experience with Fast API.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices.
• Awareness of Shell scripting

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

You should primarily be a backend developer or full stack developer, very good at code reviews and code optimization. Our products depend on processing large amounts of data and having fast response times is absolutely essential.

You will have the opportunity to

• Take responsibility of building systems for scale
• Manage our backend systems and database optimizations
• Assist in key decisions and design architecture that drives development across products
• Define processes and help with efficient functioning of the team
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the products are scalable, maintainable and secure

What we expect from you:

• We work on Ruby on Rails but you can have 2+ years of experience as backend developer in any language
• Have a solid grasp of OOP, databases and automated testing methodologies.
• Know how to manage sprint and ensure tasks are completed within the timeline
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Strong understanding of SQL databases
• Proficient knowledge of various authentication methods like JWT, OAuth etc..
• Perform peer code reviews and Code audit - Analyze existing code and remediate performance issues within existing applications
