Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Deliver Training Sessions: Conduct live training sessions, workshops, and webinars both in-person and online. Engage learners through interactive demonstrations and hands-on exercises.

Curriculum Development: Design and update curricula based on industry trends, feedback from previous sessions, and emerging technologies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

Assess Learner Progress: Evaluate participant progress through quizzes, assignments, and projects. Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners achieve their goals.

Technical Expertise: Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in full stack development to ensure the training content is accurate and relevant.

Support and Mentorship: Offer one-on-one support and mentorship to learners, helping them overcome challenges and apply their knowledge effectively.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Proven experience in full stack development, including proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React or Angular) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Ruby, databases, etc.).
• Teaching Experience: Prior experience in a teaching or training role is highly desirable, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our multi-node, on-premise Tableau Server environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau Server architecture, installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting, as well as ensuring its scalability, performance, and security. This role will also involve collaboration with business intelligence teams to support Tableau dashboards and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Tableau Server Installation & Configuration:

1. Manage multi-node, on-premise Tableau Server deployment and configuration.
2. Install and upgrade Tableau Server across environments (Development, QA, Production).
3. Configure and maintain Tableau Server processes, services, and configurations for optimal performance.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

1. Monitor server performance, disk space, and log files to ensure availability and efficiency.
2. Conduct capacity planning and fine-tune server resources (e.g., CPU, RAM, and disk utilization) to support increasing workloads.
3. Optimize Tableau extracts, data connections, and server processes for improved speed and efficiency.

User Management & Security:

1. Manage user accounts, groups, roles, and permissions in Tableau Server.
2. Implement and enforce security protocols for data, content, and access controls.
3. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

1. Diagnose and resolve Tableau Server-related issues, including downtime, errors, and performance bottlenecks.
2. Work with Tableau Support to address critical incidents and escalations.

Automation & Scripting:

1. Automate administrative tasks using Tableau Server Command Line (tabcmd) and REST APIs.
2. Schedule and monitor Tableau extract refreshes, subscriptions, and workflows.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

1. Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and analysts to support Tableau content publishing and troubleshooting.
2. Assist in creating governance standards for Tableau content and server usage.

Data Connectivity & Integration:

1. Maintain and troubleshoot Tableau Server connections to various data sources, such as SQL databases, flat files, and APIs.
2. Collaborate with data teams to ensure high availability and data accuracy.

Upgrades, Patches & Backups:

1. Plan and execute Tableau Server upgrades, patches, and backups with minimal disruption to operations.
2. Implement disaster recovery plans and strategies for Tableau Server.

Documentation & Reporting:

1. Maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, upgrade logs, and processes.
2. Create usage reports, server activity logs, and audit trails for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience with Tableau Server administration in a multi-node, on-premise environment.

• Knowledge of Windows Server/Linux administration and networking concepts.
