Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications
• Build responsive, performant, user-friendly UIs using Typescript & Next.js
• Develop APIs and backend services using Python (FastAPI/Django)
• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance across the stack
• Own features end-to-end: architecture, development, deployment, and monitoring
• Contribute to system design, best practices, and the overall technical roadmap

Requirements

Must-Have:

• 2+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Typescript / Next.js OR Python (FastAPI, Django) — must be familiar with both areas
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments

Good-to-Have:

• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Exposure to message queues or event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with modern DevOps and observability tooling

Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Node.js Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in developing scalable, high-performance backend applications using Node.js and related technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications using VueJs, Node.js and Express.js.

· Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.

· Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

· Ensure the security, performance, and responsiveness of applications.

· Collaborate with front-end developers, UX designers, and product managers.

· Implement automated testing and continuous integration.

· Debug and optimize existing code for performance improvements.

·  Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Node.js development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js.

· Proficiency in JavaScript & TypeScript.

· Strong knowledge of Express.js, Nest.js, or similar frameworks.

· Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Expertise in database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

· Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

· Experience with authentication and security best practices (JWT, OAuth, etc.).

· Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

·  Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).

· Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).

· Familiarity with front-end technologies such as VueJs or React.

· Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.

Skills:

• Comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries.
• Knowledge of React, Redux and API Integration.
• Experience with backend technology like NodeJs, Microservices, MVC Framework and Data Base connection.
• Knowledge on SQL/NoSQL such as MySql, mongoDB.
• Knowledge of cloud such as AWS.
• Team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

• Experience with building tools such as Webpack, grunt, gulp, babel etc.
• Strong desire to learn and share knowledge with others

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns
• Experience with one or more front-end Javascript frameworks is a BIG plus
• Full understanding of the complete web technology stack including how to architect highly scalable solutions
• Experience with Relational or NoSQL databases
• Working knowledge of AWS services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• As one of the earliest employees, there will be a lot on your plate. All the time!
• You'll build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, maintenance, and polish. Think features to improve our collaborative student learning platforms, such as new collaborative learning activities for teaching coding and other subjects.
• You'll build improvements to performance, reliability, and product polish — for example, improving the efficiency and performance of our replicated state systems.
• You'll build and improve processes and internal tools with simplicity and productivity in mind — such as, a tool to sync updates between Zoho, slack etc.
