Role Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering pods/projects (2–3) and drive technical excellence across our product portfolio. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, requiring someone who can scale teams, deliver complex projects, and maintain high engineering standards in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage multiple engineering pods (15–20 engineers in total)
- Hire, onboard, and develop engineering talent across different experience levels
- Conduct performance reviews, provide career guidance, and manage team growth
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Build and implement engineering processes that scale with company growth
Technical Leadership
- Guide technical architecture decisions across full-stack applications
- Provide technical mentorship and code review guidance to engineers
- Lead both frontend (React.js, React Native) and backend (Node.js) development initiatives
- Oversee web and mobile application development strategies
- Drive technical problem-solving and debugging for complex production issues
Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage AWS infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Build and maintain production support processes and incident response procedures
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability practices
- Lead post-mortem processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, QA, and Business teams to deliver on company objectives
- Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and delivery plans
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical decisions effectively
- Balance feature delivery with technical debt management and system scalability
Strategic Planning
- Develop engineering roadmaps aligned with business goals and product strategy
- Make data-driven decisions about technology choices and team structure
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks
- Drive engineering metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and product quality
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 7–10 years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering management experience, preferably in startup environments
- Proven track record of leading teams of 10+ engineers across multiple projects
- Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams in high-growth companies
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Node.js, React.js, and React Native (at least one frontend and backend)
- Experience with full-stack web and mobile application development
- Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud infrastructure management
- Knowledge of software architecture, system design, and scalability principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and DevOps practices
Leadership & Management
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
- Experience conducting performance reviews and managing career development
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven ability to balance technical decisions with business objectives

What you'll do
You will work collaboratively in small teams and iteratively through design and development to deliver fully functioning web-based and mobile applications. In this role, you will employ agile methodologies to quickly provide our consultants with the solutions they need. You will help combine the latest open source technologies together with traditional Enterprise software products. You will be a core member of the team with responsibilities that range from driving the architecture design and technology decisions for shaping the next generation products for various internal teams to ensure that we stay on the leading edge of technology. You will also be responsible for leading multiple development teams while delivering the best in class enterprise-grade software solutions across a breadth of different platforms and technologies.
Full-stack


- Technical skills in C# .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC and Entity framework, LINQ and REST APIs
- Additional skills in MySQL and SQL server, Ajax, jQuery, ReactJS, HTML, Javascript, XML
- Have good analytical ability to breakdown problem statements into solutions
- Working knowledge of various development tools like IDE’s (VS2008 or above), source control systems like TFS, Subversion.
- Good at Troubleshooting, problem solving and has supported customers in production environment
- Experience in Test driven development is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal/written instructions

Job Responsibilities
- Manage a team of talented engineers and oversee daily execution
- Work with product managers in planning sprints and task estimation
- Remove roadblocks for teams and increase delivery velocity
- Provide technical leadership to the team
- Be Technical SME in client meetings
- Be a stickler for code quality, test coverage
- Coach and grow engineering team
To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:
- Proven track record in managing engineering teams and delivering quality products.
- Experience in Ruby on Rails, React JS tech stacks
- Experience in building high performance web applications/APIs
- Top notch analytical/problem solving/debugging skills
- Should have proven ability to build, lead and develop a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate needs as well as provide the team with a clear overview of the priorities
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills

Responsibilities
- Deliver products on scope, time and with the highest quality
- Set up coding standards and processes in the team
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, scalable architecture and modular design
- Lead efforts of a rapidly growing engineering team of strong individual contributors
- Lead design and code reviews and ensure high quality in implementation
- Ensure performance and security criteria are met
- Communicate technical directions to all levels within the company
- Report the status of work and present solutions
- Contribute to organization-level goals like talent hiring, people skill development, etc.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Love for Software and the Microsoft tech stack.
- 4+ years of experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, etc
- Passion for upcoming tech; experience/tinkering with ASP.NET Core, Azure Cosmos DB, etc
- Basic SQL programming
- Ability to work with client-side scripting languages; newer frameworks and paradigms such as React, Flutter or Angular
- 2+ years of experience developing large/complex application end-to-end
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Web Development is required.
- Strong middle-tier development (API's).
- Should be hands-on with the technical deliverables.
- Very strong software engineering - design, development and testing, experience.
- Good understanding of design / architectural patterns and automation platforms.
Other Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication, team skills
- Ability to handle ambiguity and collaborate across multiple groups
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently and drive them to success
- Facilitate collaboration in cross-company discussions (i.e. vendor teams)

- Excellence in strategic thinking, leadership and be able to influence without authority.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and techniques
