Job Description – Technical Lead (Java Spring Boot + Angular) – Capital Markets / Financial Services Project

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore (Work from Client Office)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in Java Spring Boot and Angular to lead the development of enterprise-grade applications for a large-scale Banking/Financial Services project. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical leadership with strong architecture, design, and stakeholder management capabilities while driving the delivery of high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 8–10 developers across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular.
• Drive technical solutioning, architecture discussions, and application modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, and technical grooming sessions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resiliency.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Hands-on expertise in Angular 8+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, API design, and secure application development.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is advantageous.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Domain Experience (Preferred)

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Credit Cards, Lending, Payments, Risk, Fraud, Customer Servicing, or Digital Banking platforms.
• Understanding of secure, high-volume transaction processing systems and regulatory/compliance-driven environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong Forward Deployed / Client-Facing Software Engineer / Integration / Product Support Engineer profiles
• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally in SaaS, enterprise tech, consulting, or platform-based engineering
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Python / Java / JavaScript / TypeScript)
• Solid foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, System Design, and ability to build production-grade solutions quickly
• Experience working on API integrations, backend services, data pipelines, or workflow-based systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability; ability to work directly with enterprise clients to diagnose and solve complex technical issues
