About the role 

Engineer new products and features, improve existing products and features. Help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features. What are we looking for? 

3+ years working as a backend or full stack developer. 

Bachelor/Masters of engineering.

Better - Full stack engineer 1 

You're proficient with any part of our technology stack: React/Swift, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres. 

We are location agnostic, but in the same time zone India). We have a small garden office @ Jayanagar, Bangalore (home to some of the best dosas in India) to jam together on anything that requires space. 

You are not fixated about any one programming language & can learn new tech as needed. 

You are somebody who shares the same ethos. 

Bonus 

You have expertise in video or audio engineering skills. 

You contribute to open source projects. 

You've an interest in education & kids. 

You have interests outside of technology, such as in art, music or any performing art. 

What is our interview process? 

An initial 30 min call to understand each other at a high level. 

Work on a case study or assignment over the period of 2 weeks to ensure a good match. We care about effort & quality, and are happy to compensate fairly for the work put in) 

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Ability to work on diverse backend stack such as Node JS, Java, Express JS
2. Ability to work on diverse frontend stack such as React JS, Angular 6/7/8/9, HTML5, CSS3

3. Ability to deliver quick POC’s using cutting edge technologies.

4. Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

5. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards

6. Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications. Analysing and resolving technical and application problems.

7. Ability to debug application.

8. Should have complete knowledge on developing RESTful Services.

9. Should be able to also work in agile development methodology.
10. Work with designated JavaScript framework to design, develop, and debug web applications
11. Can work on Angular and Integrate backend services
12. Work with the team to manage, optimize, and customize multiple web applications
13. Manage end to end module lifecycle management of the product
14. Push and pull codes via Git repository

Competency Requirements

1. Experience in NodeJS, Java and development using AngularJS / ReactJS
2. Experience in front end frameworks such as Angular.js, React.js, Bootstrap, Foundation etc
3. Experience in client/server application development
4. Knowledge of agile development methodologies
5. Knowledge of unit testing theory
6. Knowledge of AWS cloud
7. Experience in Java, Python and Go will be added advantage

About the role

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with strong technical and communication skills who has worked extensively on frontend and backend engineering systems that process large amounts of data at scale and manage services that handle thousands of requests every minute.

Currently our payment products involve integration with Stripe, PayPal and we have built products like invoices on top of them. We are also eyeing estimates and proposals, expanding into new payment processors and revenue expansion opportunities. Our roadmap is exciting and will keep you challenged all the time. In this role, you will be expected to be autonomous, guide other developers who might need technical help, collaborate with other technical teams, product, support and customer success. 

Your Responsibilities

1. Architect and build backend & Frontend APIs and features.
2. Create and improve payment capture tools like Cart, Order forms, Invoices and Estimates.
3. Build backend & Frontend API features and architecture.
4. Work cross-functionally across our platform, experience, integrations, payments and marketplace teams.
5. Drive performance through benchmarking and optimization
6. Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end to end
7. Collaborate closely with our leadership team including engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features and products
8. Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and systems you will encounter.
9. Work on 1 or 2 products.

Your Core Skills

1. 1+ years of experience with Vue.js
2. 1+ years of experience with Stripe or PayPal integrations
3. 5-7 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
4. Proficient with various programming languages and tools such as but not limited to Javascript, TypeScript, Vue.js, NodeJS, and GraphQL
5. Must be able to work with a team and collaborate remotely.
6. You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are eager to take on different roles when necessary and know how to navigate a start-up environment.
7. You are fulfilled by being a generalist working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes to solve problems and delight users and take pride in working on projects involving a variety of technologies and systems.

Regarding the job role: 

The Senior Developer is responsible for running the day to day operations of a group of developer/s. The individual should exhibit proven experience on our technology stack and product. Our technology stack is primarily written in React, Node + Express with Apollo, GraphQL, Typescript and MySQL on AWS Cloud Services.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute at a senior level to the development process.
• Own the product development lifecycle with the team.
• Work closely with the subordinates both at the technical as well as troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Manage developer allocations on tasks to best utilise time and resources.
• Work with Product Managers and the team to ensure that commitments are met.
• Responsible for the quality of work completed.
• Ability to do code reviews and maintain the quality standards. 
• Ability to conduct manual server deployments and automate the same. 
• Mentor and stimulate team member career growth.

Qualification:

BE/ME in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject, MCA, MSc(IT) or equivalent degree.

Required Skills:

• 4-6 years of proven software development experience with React, Node/Express, CSS/Bootstrap, HTML5 and MySQL or any RDBMS Server.
• Experience in TypeScript, GraphQL, TypeORM, styled components.
• Familiarity with Webpack and bundling the web applications for server deployment.
• Experience using AWS Toolchain or any other public cloud providers.
• Familiarity with shell scripting to automate deployment processes. 
• Ability to write robust, maintainable applications.
• Ability to build and work with distributed, high-volume backend services.
• Have a great understanding of system design, data structures, object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
• You should have experience in identifying, debugging and resolving complex production issues.
• Awareness of continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins or other DevOps tools will be an advantage.
• Well versed with agile methodologies and continuous development / integration approaches. 
• People management/mentoring experience is required.

• Should have done Minimum three projects using any of these following technologies: Angular 2+

• Experience with building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets
• Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience

Zobaze is an early-stage startup, based out of THUB, Hyderabad.

Experienced developers who can develop Mobile Applications using Flutter.

Work closely with founders on building product.

Requirements -
