About the Internship Position

We are looking for a motivated full-time Software Development Intern to join our innovative team. As an intern at koolio.ai, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a next-gen AI-powered platform and gain hands-on experience developing and optimizing backend systems that power our platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code to support scalable web applications.
• Work with cloud services and server-side technologies to manage data and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend features with backend logic.
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to develop and implement user-friendly web interfaces
• Ensure responsive design and optimize web pages for performance and scalability across devices
• Debug and resolve issues, improving the overall user experience on the platform and ensuring reliability
• Assist in integrating APIs and frontend services with the backend

Requirements and Skills:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of server-side technologies like Python
• Familiarity with REST APIs and database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases).
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or Redux
• Proficiency in frontend languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Soft Skills:
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Other Skills: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and basic knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) is a bonus.

At Pratishthan we are looking for enthusiastic software engineers with up to 5 years of work experience with great programming and problem-solving skills. You should be open to working in any of the tech stacks, as technology is just a means to deliver the solution to customer problems. Preferred technologies are Java, spring boot, Node JS or C++.  However, specific tech stack experience is not a prerequisite if the candidate has relevant experience and is open to learning.

Requirements:

• Candidates should be hands-on developers with a strong command of data structures, algorithms, programming fundamentals and DBMS concepts.
• We look for people who have good conceptual clarity and can recognize patterns and come up with multiple approaches to solve problems.
• Candidates should have exposure to designing components as part of applications, independently. 
• Good scores in any of the online coding platforms like LeetCode, CodeChef, HackerRank etc. would be preferred. (Please specify the scores in the resume.)
• Experience in designing and developing microservices, event- driven systems, cloud platforms, data analytics etc would be added advantage.

Full Stack Sr. Java Developer with competencies focused on :

1. Experience in the Java 8 , Spring boot , Struct etc.

Here are few responsibilities on the job:

- Gather & analyse requirements , design, develop , test and perform root cause analysis.

- Actively participate in technical brainstorming session for solution building

- Provide technical guidance to team members if needed.

- Develop and Support Application Integration requirements etc.

- Participate in code reviews and design sessions etc.

Must Haves skillset : Java 8, Spring Boot , Microservices and AWS ; Should have worked with Offshore , mentor and coach them to deliver.

We are re-imagining how Bharat’s neighbourhood retail, the unorganized Kirana stores of today will get transformed into organized convenience retail chains over the next decade - we are driving this change.

SuperK is a well-funded early-stage startup that offers a full-stack solution to empower small format retail stores in Tier 2 and below towns. SuperK is rebranding existing small format retail stores and providing them with the benefits of procurement, tech systems, intelligence, and marketing at scale to create a chain of mini supermarkets. Some parallels can be drawn to how Oyo has transformed the small hotel industry, Medplus & Apollo have changed pharma retail and BigC & others have changed offline mobile buying.

What you will be doing

• Working closely with the Engineering lead to contribute to deciding the backend as well as frontend system architecture for products used by consumers, retailers, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the product strategy; evaluate the feasibility of solutions proposed by PMs, estimate development effort, and help in planning the roadmap and individual features.
• Building the blocks of the entire system across multiple products on your own from the ground up with the freedom to try new things.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other developers to meet the timelines.
• Built systems that scale through software, contributing to the architecture and design.

What we would like to see in you

• 2-4 years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer who has owned the entire stack of a product or a major module.
• Strong programming expertise in any of the JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS, ExpressJs, or Python frameworks like Django.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in OOPs, DS algorithm design and time complexity analysis.
• Experience in writing REST APIs
• Good understanding of relational databases and networking systems.
• Proficiency with at least one Object Oriented language(e.g Java, Python)
• Exposure to Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment
• High enthusiasm and self-drive to build systems from the ground up.
• Focus on things that work compared to traditional conventions.

What makes you a great fit for our team:

• 5-8 years of overall experience with at least 2+ years of full-stack experience. 
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Experience in NodeJS for at least two years and exposure to Python, Go, etc will be a huge plus and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, ReactJs(preferred), VueJs)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) and UI/UX design
• Experience and knowledge of open source tools & frameworks, broader cutting edge technologies around server-side development.

• Knowledge of or experience with at least one or more of PaaS environments - AWS, Google App Engine, Windows Azure Cloud Services or similar
